parvatishallow Posted April 4 Posted April 4 It's cute but I really hate that her singles have been missing these huge crescendos at the end that FN singles had. I'm gonna be sad if this also follows that pattern. Houdini is a smash tho no shade to her.

Yuki O Posted April 4 Posted April 4 The only song from FN that sounds like this is Hallucinate, she doesn't really have that many House dance tracks. One Kiss and Electricity retro House back in 2018 were collabs. I think is nice she has at least one House song in her albums because it's a genre that fits her well. I love the chord progression also. Reminds me of the dance duo from the 2000s Deep Dish. I can't wait to listen to the whole thing. 2
Thickorita Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Sounds SUPER homo'd and kinda better than TS (Houdini stays unbothered though)
State of Grace. Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Sounds godly. Oh Duallah/Kevin/Danny the legendary trio that you are 4
Lovett Posted April 4 Posted April 4 It does sound very generic, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I've enjoyed both songs she's released so far, so I'm sure I'll enjoy this too.

I think some production choices are just too pop and too obvious, they needed to go for a even more alternative, psychedelic, rave route. **** the norms for a pop radio song. Tbh both Houdini and TS keep growing on streaming and radio, also together they have more than 500 millions streams. That's far from what I would call "not working" except if you compare it directly to FN which was and probably forever will be the highlight of her career. 1
KingWitch Posted April 4 Posted April 4 She's making music for the gays only this time, im afraid we're gonna need a male rap collab to get a hit this era 1

The song may sound a little basic a first but that chord progression is like crack. You gonna find yourself replaying it over and over again for no reason.
wish Posted April 4 Posted April 4 It's definitely generic... but it sounds good? I felt the same way about Training Season and it's grown on me a lot over time. I don't think this will save the era in the US, but I'd rather hear the full song before I pass judgement.
