perfillusion Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Illusion sounds like song of the summer. God this album will be another 10/10

GAGALIPA Posted April 9 Posted April 9 I know this is out of topic but I wonder if leaving the TAP management also restricts Dua from collaborating with KOZ (Stephen Kozmeniuk) again from producing new songs (producer of Levitating, Physical, Love Again, Hotter Than Hell, IDGAF). Because i have read from a different forum that KOZ is under the TAP management. Is this the main reason why? is it coincidental if he's not on the album? Is it because DUA also wanted a more cohesive sound with Kevin Parker/Danny Harle as the main producers? do you think is she reserving him on the deluxe version soon? what are your thoughts?
GAGALIPA Posted April 9 Posted April 9 There are rumors that Ian Kirkpatrick produced one or two songs from the album. i wonder if Stephez KOZmeniuk made it as well. It would be interesting to hear his sounds being psychedelic and giving us that Levitating Love Again Physical hits we had before.
GAGALIPA Posted April 9 Posted April 9 I'm addicted to that part where it transitions to: You think I'm gonna fall to your ILLuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu—ooohhhh Whatcha doing? really sounds orgasmic to me ugh
saint terror Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Do y'all think production of the album will lean more towards the style of Houdini or Illusion?

Houdini, Training Season, and Illusion all sound different from each other. She mentioned in an interview early on what the songs will have most in common is a lyrical theme. I feel that we will get a bunch of unique sounds and the lyrical theme will tie them all together which makes me excited

SayIt Posted April 9 Posted April 9 DL3 Radical Optimism: Lyrical there Houdini: Quote: "Tell me all the ways you need me" Meaning: She wants her potential interest to tell her and show her that you she is priority and is worth something more if not she is not going to wait around. Training Season: Quote: "I need someone to hold me close" Meaning: Let the the guys that are interested in her what she wants/needs upfront because she does not have to train them up to where they should be Illusion: Quote: "Don't know who you think that your confusing" Meaning: She knows the guy is no good and is putting up a front and she is telling the guy that is interested she see right through him 1

Soul Glitch Posted April 9 Posted April 9 I'd unstan if she replaces Charm. You guys saw 30 seconds of one choreo that it's not that good but let's not reach. They work great together and she's responsible for Dua's evolution when it comes to stage presence.

How is the Houdini section on Grammys not a big moment?

It's cute and there was definitely nothing wrong with it, it's just what I expected from her. FN had so many big moments in that she continuously was up to stuff nobody expected from her and she was smashing it. A big problem with this whole era's reception so far is that a lot of people (and myself to some extent) expected her to meet that pressure and keep pushing herself outwards but instead it feels like she's found a comfort zone, not that she didn't work hard to get to it. Idk I just feel it's showing in everything from the choreo, the music, the visuals and the general marketing approach to this era.
