People should stop using the word "generic" as if they even know how to use it properly

The way I've posted a thirst trap with every snippet she's teased this era.. if Dua won't do promo then I'll do it for her!

What's with all the Training Season hate? I don't necessarily think it's her best song ever but it's fun, unique and so catchy

Overall I don't love the direction that she's chosen... Sweetest Pie, Potion and Dance the Night were all "good but not great" for me at most

She hasn't released as great song since FN -Sweetest Pie started a curse ddd. Houdini is good but not amazing like she can.

ATRL never loves the songs that flop. That's the rule on here, you can't get an account if you don't stan charts :bird:

So far the three songs we got are all amazing.

Yeah if anyone of them were released as part of FN and smashed everyone would be singing their praises.

I honestly don't remember who I told over DM about this, but the final track is technically a remix/re-edit/reproduction of a now-scrapped version. There should be an "additional production by" credit of somebody who was all over the Barbie album.

i'm starting to like it a lot and see the psychedelic elements in the production. i know the bridge/breakdown will GAG us like houdini did

let's be real

ok all the singles she released so far are fun bops but the truth y'all don't want to hear is that she's regressing compared to Future Nostalgia when she should be gettin bolder and more creative with the productions while maintaining their commercial appeal.

honestly I can pick any track from most of FN and it's better/more intricate than any of the singles she released so far. it's a shame because the voice and melodies are kinda giving but the production is not giving what she thinks. it's a step back.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking/hoping too. The bells on the breakdown are doing it for me

I don't know what's your point here, but I'm going to say the following.

1. The release date (4/11) was given by the user below, who is an insider in another forum which you really know well.

2. Their post was done on 3/26 at 1:53pm. ET, while yours was done the same date (3/26) at 2:06pm. ET, which was 13 minutes later.

3. Thank you for copying and pasting (lol!) my opinion and turned into an insight information which wasn't the case. I mean, I'm not an insider and I was just having a conversation with one of them about the song.

4. I can respect your idea if you're saying that "her label / team didn't expect how Houdini and Training Season performed the way they did, so now they're hoping new single on April 11 will do better." is your opinion because that's understandable, but if you're trying to imply that this is something that it was said behind, this isn't true because you're creating a false narrative over a simple idea.

5. I've just realized that I made a typo in my original post (re: writing double 'w' in 'anyway'), so I'm editing that there.

real ones like me already had #that user on ignore mode. they've been pretending to be an insider for years

i'm seeing a lot of delusion in here with people saying that it's damage control or that it wasn't produced by kevin :rip:

No, but when Houdini didn't do the numbers they wanted, they brought in Brandon Davis to advise, who oversaw the Barbie soundtrack. He is the VP and pop music A&R at Atlantic Records and, for those that care, is Ava Max's A&R in the US and one of the people that signed her at APG before her Atlantic deal.

Something about the chorus (?) melody sounds a little flat to me, but I also thought the same thing about the Training Season snippet so I'm sure she'll come through again :clap3:

I actually don't know, but I think it is Ricky Reed.

He produced this:

and did a bunch of little things on other tracks.

Please :rip: this level of fan fiction needs medical treament. Aren't you the same user who said years ago that DSN was ghost produced by Dr. Luke? The same one who pretends to be an insider but never has real tea?

I wonder if this is the final chorus or not. We need the last one to EXPLODE Dua come on girl :weeps:

We truly are surrounded by tasteless gays on ATRL... :rip:

This snippet is absolutely exceptional… not sure if I like it more than Houdini but this is light years better than Training Season.

Every single member trashing the snippet is going to have this on repeat a year from now.
