I've seen 6 of those movies in the list and apart from Slumdog Millionaire they were all boring :rip: except for Green Book which was just awful

Of course this site would choose Parasite and EEOAC and maybe Moonlight (I would choose these movies too :eli:) because these movies are right up our alley. But if you ask this question somewhere else (where more movie nerds are) the answers maybe a bit different. I still enjoy movies like Parasite more than the Oscar-bait type of movies tho.

Film Twitter and Letterbox are also full of gays and they would rank these movies in the top5. I think you mean IMDB. That place is filled with ignorant, misogynistic and racist bros

Eh. Parasite is in the top 40 films of all time on imdb and even higher on other sites. The love for it is very much universal and hasn't faded in the years since its win

Moonlight and EEAAO though, yeah. Moonlight because gay + black and people have been trying to tear EEAAO down since it won Best Picture (and even before it won it had its detractors)

I think the way I worded it made yall think I was trying to say sth else (sorry English isnt my first language) but I think you get what I mean now. I am not saying hlthat Parasite and EEOAO are not loved by movie nerds, Im just saying that they also love other "niche" / "arthouse" / "avant garde" / "Oscar bait" movies too while here we dont.

Parasite and it isn't up for discussion tbh. A glorious moment for cinema. The way Jane Fonda also snapped with the perfect announcement!

Btw it's funny that Coda is sandwiched between all-time greats, what a 5-year run we could've had...

Parasite

Nomadland

CODA

Everything Everywhere

Oppenheimer
