They had access to the most expensive wardrobe any female kpop group had had at that point, and their stylists even regularly cut up expensive runway pieces just so it would look better for their image. YG invested A LOT of money into that group. There's no way he could have done that had they spammed comebacks like Twice did. what broke blackpink was doing university tours for months on end for no real reason combined with a lack of proper communication from their higher ups. SOLID music until 2018 (Whistle, Boombayah, AIIYL, D4) were hits after hits after hits 2. INDIVIDUALLY strong charisma, Jennie and Lisa combo is just unbeatable, those two are the most charismatic girls in kpop content starvation helped until their 4th year but after that it even backfired, especially the singles they released werent as gp friendly as their first singles now YG is really just after tour money, that's it.
