BrandNewBrandon Posted March 25 Author Posted March 25 42 minutes ago, satellites.™ said: Google already dropped ALL TIME stats and only Taylor and Beyonce made the list. Taylor was the most searched for songwriter, not musician. That all-time list is divided into a lot of categories and it's not an all-time list per say, just a list with categories and who ruled them. And this is about peaks. We all know Michael Jackson is the most searched-for musician in Google history and Britney probably second.

Let's just forget terms "Taylor Swift tickets" for the eras tour weren't via Google and let's just act like YouTube searches and Google images and whatnot isn't part of those results either. When Lady Gaga peaked on Google she also sold the most and was the most famous. When Adele peaked on Google she also broke the first-week sales record. These searches go hand-in-hand with those sales and streams you're talking about sis 2 1 1

She's the only artist to do this.

VioletsandRoses Posted March 25 Posted March 25 2 hours ago, BrandNewBrandon said: Yeah, I think Britney has an edge over all three globally, slightly bigger than Gaga but I don't know if she would've surpassed Taylor in the US. Taylor's US peak could very well be the biggest of all time in terms of female acts in America. I'm no longer surprised that US-users will say Taylor's peak is the biggest after seeing that peak lol. But I'm also not surprised non-US ATRLers will say Taylor isn't as big as peak-Gaga or peak-Adele. Britney didn't have the biggest peak globally look at the yec for 21 and TFM vs BOMT. BOMT sold 24m while there's a ton of albums that sold 30-40 million that era vs Just Adele, Amy Winehouse and 1989 that sold over 10m in the late 2000s-early 10s. 1 1

I'm specifically referring to Millennials and younger, considering it's much harder for a millennial artist to become just as big, if not bigger amongst the next two younger generations. I guess Adele would maybe be the opposite, as she is a millennial who attracted the next two older generations, but I would argue they are slightly easier to capture. Edited March 25 by Archetype
