I came in here kind of planning to say "Cardigan obviously,” but like, I guess it really was a strong year. I especially have to give Charli credit here - I'm pretty torn between Cardigan and Forever. What Charli did with HIFN was breathtaking and, in many ways, the pinnacle of hyperpop so far, and Forever was one of my favorite tracks. Cardigan, of course, is an enduring classic Taylor song at this point that only really grows with time.

 

I think I'm going to vote for Cardigan, but it's a narrow win.

 

Special shout-out to Positions, too - I never got why that failed to click with a lot of people, and I loved it from first listen.
