Are the main western pop boys lacking in comparision to the Korean pop boys?

Both have been lacking, the last couple of years pop has truly been all about the girls, more so than ever.

Kpop definitely has the edge when it comes to visuals and choreo. But when it comes to artistry? Nope. Kpop would never allow their idols to experiment the way The Weeknd does for example.

Kpop is pretty, but there's no depth (mostly).

What Pop boys do we even have? Shawn Mendes, Niall Horan, Post Malone, The Weeknd, Luke Combs, etc. They are just not man enough for me. Where have all the real men gone?

Western male pop stars are afraid of being perceived as gay. K-pop male pop stars aren't.

There's some truth to this. I cannot imagine a male act (group or solo) serving choreography and flamboyant costumes these days, even JT stopped dancing after 2020 experience. Everything is broody and dark.

That said, I have yet to hear a KPop song that isn't terrible so at least western artists make decent music.

The Weekend has more artistry than all of this Kpop men and I say this as a long time Kpop Stan :cm:

But yeah gone the days where we have Michaels, Prince etc.

West and their homophobic tendencies.
