That's my ranking as well. 

This franchise really has no terrible films in it even the ones at the lower end of my ranking I still like a lot.

Jenna Ortega is doing Wednesday S2 and Beetlejuice 2 this year so I doubt Scream 7 will be filmed anytime soon. I'm guessing a 2025 release.

She can still shoot all three project in the same year. Plus, even if they shoot Scream in early 2024, they can still release it Q4.

Jenna Ortega reminds me so much of Neve Campbell in between 2 & 3. Neve Campbell was too busy filming Party of Five to film more scenes for Scream 3. Jenna is in a very similar situation.

if the rumors that they want to start production on 7 by october are true, i'm pretty sure they are aiming for a summer 2024 release

 

I also think they would want strike while the iron is still hot + there were rumors about a new tv series at paramount+ so i'm assuming they would want to start working on that soon

Do you think Scream would have been left at 4 if the Halloween 2018 trilogy hadn't been so successful?

I mean, maybe we wouldn't have gotten this new trilogy so soon after H40 but there would've definitely been a reboot somewhere down the line, that's just how hollywood works

I'm really proud! The 3rd and 4th films box office decline and having two 11 year hiatuses were disheartening. But I'm glad the 5th and 6th are able to breathe life into this iconic franchise!

5 was in theaters for 11 weeks so I think this one will have a similar theatrical run, so yeah i'm almost 99% sure this will surpass the original (173M) at the WW box office. it only needs to gross 17M more, which I think is possible

The Ghostface attack at the Bodega is one of the scariest GF scenes since the 1st film imo

Heavily featuring that scene in their marketing was one of the best decisions ever. Overall, I think they did everything needed to secure it's success this time around!

it was nice to seeing a Ghostface character to match the height of the stunt performer (it was confirmed Bailey was the GF bodega)
