Trust the first openly gay killers to flop and get killed by another ghost face :deadbanana2:

Ngl, I was so hyped with the random easter eggs / references to things in the franchise that kept popping up. Like I was giggling like a damn fool when Tara was at that frat party and being asked if she was going to pledge Omega Beta Zeta similar to CiCi Cooper's character from Scream 2.

Yep, people making the new trilogy are such fans of the original and it shows, in a good way. My bf liked this one better than 5, I will have to watch it again and make up my mind.

I just realized that we have the same number of Ghostfaces from this movie and from the original trilogy

:deadbanana2:

Hmm I'd say there were 4 GF killers since the last one never wore the mask, killed anybody, or made any phone calls, all we saw of him is his body lol

Jason literally explained before his death that the whole motive was to finish the movie that Richie wanted to make so literally he DOES give a **** about movies. :skull:However, it still worked for me because it did sort of clue me into the whole revenge angle, which caused me to immediately clue in on Quinn and her dad once she talked about how she had recently lost a brother. The fact that we didn't even see her die / get attacked also let me know something was up since the film was fully leaning into the gore and violence this time. :deadbanana2:

What do you mean? The line was said by Detective Bailey, who killed Jason. And Richie's family, while supporting his love for movies, didn't really care about them. They just killed out of revenge.

When was that said? Quinn literally slept with multiple guys and Ethan said he "always wanted to stick something in Tara".

Spoiler

When Jason comes home he definitely says something like “babe”, at least in the German dub. If it’s not explicitly said, it’s heavily implied.

@Kevin2803 @HungryByTheBuffet

My current ranking reeks of recency bias but so far I can’t help it.

Scream (1996) > Scream 4 > Scream VI > Scream 2 > Scream (2022) > Scream 3

Did everybody love when Ghostface takes off their mask to reveal that they’re Ava Max? The part when she started singing Ghost as the credits rolled was chilling.

Just got out of the theater and HOH MY GOD :ghostface:They've done it again! Man, this film just solidifies why Scream is my favorite franchise :clap3:

I have to agree.

Halloween (1978) has a special place in my heart, but as a franchise, Scream is undefeated. I can’t think of another franchise where every entry is actually good.

Sis… :rip:

Spoiler

There was no implication at all that they were gay. Him saying “honey I’m home” sounded like something you’d joke about with your friend. Unless it’s confirmed, there’s no reason to believe they were ‘stabbing’ each other. :bird:

Oh right, i didn't even think about them as "official" Ghostface killers.

:gaycat4: Don't know if this was just a "straight" joke or if they were actually a couple.

By the way, did Ethan even kill anyone? Jason, Quinn's lover and Anika were all killed by the father, while Mindy, Gale and her boyfriend were attacked by Quinn.

He attacked Chad with Quinn and tried to get Tara, but that’s it. :lakitu:

The reviews calling it stale is what I feared ugh

Do y'all think that

Samara Weaving's death in the alley was a hommage to Helen's iconic death in IKWYDLS?

Spoiler

I honestly did not buy Chad and Tara as a couple whatsoever. They felt more like brother and sister to me. :rip:

However, I was lowkey shipping Chad and Ethan together idk I felt some chemistry there. :-*

When they pay homage to ISKWYDLS in 7 by having the couples go on a vacation together >>>

I see the vision and it involves Mason & Josh being shirtless for most of the film :smitten:

Why not? Scream always paid hommage to the slasher genre and it's literally a blonde woman getting killed in a dark alley, while dozen of people are just a few steps away. She is even killed next to a dumpster and the shot from further away, where Ghostface is stabbing her, almost looks like the scene where guy with the hook is stabbing Helen in IKWYDLS

I think you can say it inspired maybe but I feel like that's just basic city dark alley thing to do it didn't look like a specific reference or homage to me cause the two scenes play out completely different except for the alley which is just kind of a general trope but idk

not to be overdramatic but 4:25 made me lose slighT respect for miss Jenna even though I love her d.....

Why?

Why do people always forget that "Scream 3" also wasn't set in Woodsboro? Atleast not for the most part.

mess, half the franchise isn't set in Woodsboro :skull:
