If I do something stupid and it accidentally forwards toward the climax I am going to be PISSED.

:deadbanana4:

Let me watch the beginning a little bit.

It's obviously a fan cam version.

I think I should wait until Saturday.

See the thing is I don't want to watch it in theaters because I want to rewind and etc.

Yeah they were definitely a few sloppy parts with the storyline and continuity (being at Gales apartment in broad daylight one minute and then night the next). And I find it hard to believe that Sam would have no idea what her ex-boyfriends family looks like.

It was definitely a fun watch (I’ve seen it twice now), and one I’d be happy to revisit but i think a lot of it was a bit underwhelming/undercooked.

But yes, i also don't get how they switched the body of Quinn. My best guess is that they had already a dead body in the apartment somewhere and switched it when everyone was outside or in the other apartment. And i don't know if the police takes an DNA test when the father already confirmed that it is his daughter. But that only works if i really suspend dibelief.

They had the body of that random guy in the bathtub. The girls don't talk to any other police officer after the apartment attack so we don't even know if the police thinks Quinn died, he could've placed the body of the bathub guy in the living room and that would've been it. To me what's very unrealistic was how the sibblings knew Sam's boyfriend would be watching them from the window and would take a picture and send to them like okay Quinn knew about the guy and stuff but how did they know he would be looking outside the window in that exact moment? idk the whole Quinn stuff felt very forced to me and ruined the killer reveal, she shouldn't have been related to Riche/Ethan/officer at all.

Edit: also the fact both people she tried to kill survived (Gale and Mindy) omg she must be the worst ghostface ever huh :rip:

It's 2023. Imagine watching a movie in SHITTY quality, a movie you've been waiting for MONTHS/YEARS... just because you couldn't wait one day/a few more days :deadbanana4:.

Yeah I don’t enjoy this aspect of the story very much but it is what it is and if a movie entertains me as much as this one did I’m happy to turn a blind eye to certain things.

Watch it in theatres girl! It’s a must see on a big screen. A lot of the scenes are so much better with other people reacting around you. You can always watch your shady cam copy at a later time.

I caught the end of 5 last night at the double feature thing and Richie makes it pretty clear Sam trusted him without knowing a single thing about him. He’d also never met her family.

this sequence was very very sloppy, but I don’t think they planned for Danny to get involved or witness anything. They would’ve killed a lot more people had Danny not give them an heads up and helped them escape, so it definitely wasn’t a part of the plan

But there was that one moment where they were clearly "acting" for Danny with Ethan grabbing Quinn from behind pretending to stab her and they were both facing the window so Danny could get the perfect shot. Although I kinda remember now that Ethan was standing behind Quinn and before he pretended to attack her he saw Danny screaming through the window so he knew he was watching them lol so it wasn't that unrealistic tbh...

do you mean remake? if so, this has nothing similar to scream 2... not even the university setting is that predominant in this one

:deadbanana4:

the only thing similar to scream 2 is the van scene, i feel like they tried to recreate it and FAILED but other than that this has nothing similar to scream 2 like at all :rip:

Spoiler

where as Scream 5 was set in woodsboro like the first one that is also too sh!truly attempted to parallel , this one takes place with the [new] main characters trying to move on with their lives in college / away from woodsboro and the killer ends up being the vengeful parent (and family) of the killer from the previous one. the motive is “you killed my psycho son so now you must die”

Thats Scream 2 sweetie :toofunny3: this franchise has run out of things to say about horror movies

77% on RT with 110 reviews. I think in the end, it’ll settle around 75%.

Just got back from seeing it and even though I enjoyed it, it was a bit underwhelming and I felt like something was missing. Scream 5 was far superior.
