Oh, one more thing I didn’t like was

the music. It’s like they wanted to use all of the OG Scream soundtrack for the sake of it, and it really fell flat in certain moments.

Gonna have to rewatch the movie anyways!

That's one of my favorite things from the movie actually :WAP:

I like how they incorportated some of the OG tracks but with a twist you know? It wasn't like the exact same songs, there were some tiny changes to it, and I really enjoyed it. When Trouble in Woodsboro started playing I got chills, only the best OST of the entire franchise

Perfect chance to remind everyone in this thread once again for the 3rd time this week the world does not in fact revolve around the US :lakitu:

You know where I can watch it beforehand?

It's not even on my secret website.

The movie is out. Stay out of comment sections talking about it if you don’t even want to read little hints.

Why are people still in this thread without watching the movie? Hoping to read what?

To people who watched the movie

did Kirby really pick up the whole TV and threw it at Ethan? It happened so fast.

Not reading any comments yet, but just here to say I can’t believe I’m watching the movie in 5 hours.

The 'off screen death' of Quinn was an obvious give away. They did kill most of the friend group half way through, so it was kinda obvious by the end that it would either be Ethan, the boyfriend or Kirby. Not once did I suspect that any of the Core 4 could have been a part of it.

The final act and the reveal were kind of underwhelming if I'm honest. The cop tried too hard to mimic Mrs Loomis's craziness, but came off incredibly flat.

Also, one thing that really irks me that doesn't make sense. How can you have a WHOLE police officer be the father of a murderer? How did that not come up? It's not like Richie's identity was secret. How can a NYPD officer be the father of one of the Ghostface from 5 and this going off the radar? It's a BIT unrealistic :rip:

Also, you would think at least Kirby would dig into his past, right? Family members etc. She said she was investigating Ghostface attacks. And you don't look into the killer's family? Especially as a horror buff? Knowing what you know about the original sequel with the revenge motive? It was incredibly convenient how they failed to mentioned that as part of the 'rule' or throwbacks to previous attacks/movies.

I love how they put the 'Stu is alive' rumors to rest by confirming that he's dead.

Having ALL of them survive was a let down tbh. At least ONE of them should have been killed.

Hayden was awesome once again. I'm glad she survived.

Overall, the movie was pretty good up, definitely much better than S5. But once again, the final act felt underwhelming.

Got to give props to Melissa, she was also much better in this. Still nowhere near Sydney level of final girl, but much better indeed.

And If I'm honest, Sydney's absence did not bother me as much as I thought it would. In the grand scheme of things, she didn't make sense in this movie. I would have still wanted her to be a part of it, but the movie stood fine with her absence. I still want her in S7 though.

100% agree

Atleast Chad should have died. Or Mindy.

And that the father was a cop also bothers me the most about the reveal. Like, HOW? How can you work for the police under a false identity? Don't they do like background checks?

And what was the point of Sam's boyfriend? He was barely a red herring (it couldn't have been the boyfriend AGAIN) and he was also not really involved in anything, expect for the ladder scene, but also only from the outside.

Omg didn't cross my mind, no way no one would know he's the father of previous GF killer in the force and assign him to the new one's case

But yes, i also don't get how they switched the body of Quinn. My best guess is that they had already a dead body in the apartment somewhere and switched it when everyone was outside or in the other apartment. And i don't know if the police takes an DNA test when the father already confirmed that it is his daughter. But that only works if i really suspend dibelief.

I don't know if

if i like how easy these characters can survive stab wounds or if it's stupid. On on side i think it is unrealistic how fast people die in other slashers, just by getting on stab in the abdomen. I feel like it is realistic that people can survive or atleast not die a second later. But Chad, as an example, got stabbed like multiple times and there was even blood coming out of his mouth.

y’all are thinking to much into so many things like…. it slayed tbh
