I swear this thread is stuck in a endless loop because each time I visit here I read excatly the same thing over and over again :dies: I really hope she will deliver next time because she totally has it in her, I think RO's biggest problem is overthinking and it reflects in this thread's endless essays

I never thought about it this way and now it makes total sense.

this is actually really true lol (and I am guilty of being one of the ones repeating narratives :skull: )

But you're absolutely right about the album sounding like it was created after having over thought everything. This is in part why I always say the album SOUNDS SOULLESS. She wanted to make something great all while being commercial but really overthought it was too much which ended up stripping it of both quality AND commercial appeal somehow.

I feel people had certain expectation from the album based on Houdini and Training Seasons and Dua's misinterpretation of album direction that they cannot get over it.

People here are over reacting as if the main reason why an album or a song flops is because of the wrong description?

So if the description was right for Radical Optimism or Houdini, Training Season, would we get an instant Billboard Hot 100 Top 10?? 😂😂

Dua may have picked the wrong choice of interpretation to describe her album or her songs but I don't see it as a reason why her songs are flopping, like as if the chart position of a song would greatly depend on how the singer described a song 😂😂😂

its as simple as if the song clicks with the fans + GP, it hits, it charts.

if the song doesnt click with the fans + GP, it wont chart.

the lack of promo may have a factor on the success of her album, but people blaming Dua for her wrong description and interpretation of her songs or album as the reason for her flopping is just BS for me. These are the type of people who just look for lame and unmeasurable reason for an artist to be flop

Would Taylor Swift's Fortnite flop if TS describes it as a "dance pop" single record? 😂

Would Espresso flop if it is described as EDM? 😂

It almost hurts seeing the Illusiom radio push when its quite a faceless song, that nobody in the gp will care after hearing it, or if they do, it will be to say she's just doing more of the same :rip:

The way I just wish the end of this painful Illusion phase

The discrapancy between the Radio push of Illusion and its streams is nothing short of embarrassing tbh

Now that Delusion reached top 10 on pop it's time to push another song

Because that single didn' t do anything for the album. She needs a single that connects with the people

Training season was send like 2 weeks after release to radio Because Houdini was still at Top 10 radio, then  when Illusion was released TS was push out radio

This is the main reason with her team & her fans they want to rush everythig.... just like the post above they already want a new single when IIlusion was released 2 months ago, they should keep pushing Illusion at least the rest of the month at the end of the year both TS & Illusion will be at decent streams & certifications

I played Falling Forever in between other songs and it honestly sounds nice. Maybe it can actually do sth on the charts?
