Just watch as papa lipa continues in the footsteps of Roger Gold and mistakenly refers to These Walls as I Luv It

The era is so over omg

Maybe there is one single left on the album that can keep the era going?!!?!

I was just thinking in the shower this morning how she had the opportunity with Tame Impala to create some insane, bombastic, badass POP PSYCHEDELIC excellence and completely change up the game yet again with something new to the table. Instead we got some cheesy beach songs that belong in H&M dressing rooms. Such an UGH moment.

I would personally rather Dua move on with this project. I don't personally care to see this era live and would prefer them to save their resources and budget for next era, when hopefully there is better material to invest in. She can just do one off shows this summer and fully tour with her next album. No song on this album is going to smash.

Also, Dua isn't the type of artist (imo) that needs to change up the look each era. She slays with long back hair and FASHION. Just give us looks. Colors. Hair styles. The fashion this era was… a choice.

She will turn it out next era.

i don't think she'll switch up the aesthetic for the next few months, she has her own shows and festival gigs booked. we will see how it goes from there but DL1 also had some sort of "shifting" aesthetic during its festival run so maybe we'll get something new or some foreshadowing for a collab or two during these next few months. It's not like tour outfits correlate 100% to an eras aesthetic anyway. The FN tour had the mugler body suits but what about that screams FN aesthetic (from the album artwork) apart from them being a moment during her EMAs performance.

I mean… even as a fan it's absolutely okay to admit that she flopped. Better to be honest than trying to find excuses when there are none :rip: The GP hasn't clicked with her sound this time around and it's alright, not everyone is destined to smash with every release. The album is alright and I will continue to stream it during this beautiful summer :foxaylove2:

The rollout might have been messy, the management switch didn't do her any good, many things could have been executed better, but the reality is we are in the era of music being widely accessible and if something is meant to be a hit, it will be a hit. If people didn't click with these songs, no amount of panic push and desperate tactics gonna change that. And this has been the case for FN too - the era was exciting, because we got a lot of content, but the reality is if the songs weren't amazing and the general public didn't love them, the album would never be as big

Hate to admit that but when I wanna enjoy the sunny weather I put Espresso on repeat and not this album :rip:

Just say you're tasteless… songs like Espresso belong with Dua's worse like Cherry Pie, Not My Problem and Boys with be Boys :thing:

The disrespect to Sweetest Pie is insane, maybe ya'll weren't ready for original 2000s sound she was hinting in 2021….:khalyan2:

I only wish she would rework the deluxe tracks and makes them more psychodelic like Happy For You

Yeah, can't believe her and her label hyped this project since 2022 with this 'psychedelic' thing only for them to come with a disappointment like that. Personally I like the album, but it was definitely not worth the wait and it isn't the serve they thought it was

Anyways yeah this era is a colossal failure so far, Houdini is our only modicum of success

Album still works for me, I love it, but I understand why it's not connecting with people. I'm almost positive Dua will be my #1 most listened to artist this year but I don't know if she'll have my #1 song. I can play this album front to back with ease, but outside of EOAE/Houdini there's nothing I'm really putting on repeat cause there isn't anything that's GRABBING my attention. Meanwhile, even though I don't prefer FN, Levitating, Love Again, Break My Heart, etc were on REPEAT.

Anyways, Sabrina's probably getting my #1 song of the year. Espresso is catchy pop done RIGHT without needing to be too serious or in your face, earworm incarnate. Doodua's team needs to take NOTES!

PLEASE can she release a blue 7" for Illusion! It's my favorite song on the album and want the instrumental on physical.

Question for you guys… do you want Dua to go on tour in 2025, or would you rather she just works on a new album and releases it late 2025/early 2026?

Outside of the 3 singles, the only songs here even worthy of a live performance would be End of an Era (a career highlight!!!) and Whatchu Doing. I'd rather she go on tour after DL4 where she can perform 4-5 songs from Radical Optimism, DL4, and the hits from her first 2 albums.

I just don't see how she can sustain this era with a massive tour next year when nothing is currently sticking with the GP.

Are we ready for her Joanne era

A watcha doing remix should be released, regardless if it hits or not. The tour will also do great so these meltdowns are tired

She should release French Exit featuring a French artist.
