Final predictions (3/23): WCBF #1, biggest debut streaming week

Shame to see the discourse turn to Beyonce again when i was genuinely excited for Ari’s runaway success. For what it’s worth, i don’t think @ctlp27 initial comments were targeted at Bey, unlike the messy user that quoted them.

I think they were taking shots and no1s that reach the top solely on the insular amassment of one fanbase like that K-pop group and some of Taylor’s no 1s. While the Beyhive is dedicated and loyal, most of us are not rabid teens infinitely online hence she performs better with albums than singles.

And I wouldn’t have it any other way. The fact that Bey is even in the conversation of hit singles in a career spanning nearly 30 years is testament to her longevity and the loyalty of her fanbase. I’d rather forego billboard no.1 than watch our fanbase morph whatever monstrosity Nicki Minaj’s is now for the sake of a slippery chart-topper.

Anyways, good for Ari.  :clap3:

Some of y'all trying to drag Queen Bey for no reason when we're trying to celebrate Ari :skull: Can't stand some of y'all sad gays.

That woman is over 20 years into her solo career and still gaining massive #1 smashes and huge debut weeks and the current (official) highest grossing female tour of all time. To say she doesn't have a big fanbase is absolutely maddening and bonkers.

Is this why Ariana release new versions of her song today too?? :skull: Billboard needs to get in front of these label tactics.

I mean, Billboard should have addressed this in early 2020 (when they removed UGC), after HitR and Heartless went to #1. I'm pretty sure it was the sales tactics they used, not the UGC, that got those songs to #1. It's messed up that these things still count on the Hot 100 over 4 years after they removed UGC from the chart.

I like Lose Control but the "Teddy versions" are getting suspicious now

I don't think he has a fanbase to do this a week later and the last day of the tracking week suddenly they start to rise again?  I could understand last week when they were released like it happened with the Benson plant

We know stans can do this, but Teddy has rabid stans like that?

Don’t any of you DARE complain to the point that they get rid of the multiple versions. Getting extended mixes has been one of the best trends recently, I hope it doesn’t go away. We’ve been missing it since physical singles went to the wayside

Let's be real, Teddy Bears = his label, he doesn't have a fanbase.

Okay, but if multiple versions count, then Billboard should bring back UGC streams to the Hot 100. Either all of this should count or the number of versions should be capped at 2 (the original plus one remix). The way Billboard is doing now, allowing an uncapped number of versions to count, but not UGC streams, makes the chart arbitrary and inaccurate.

Very suspicious, but I would like to see this song reach #1 for at least one week after Ari.

Texas had 29m and Carnival had 33.7m last week. It could potentially be more than 32m on Billboard

Based on this Lose Control could be #1 next week, because Ariana will probably decrease some points and airplay is not that big yet
