Not me completely missing Vampire leaving at #37 :suburban:

Thanks for hosting! I wish i would've commented more but I'm not very familiar with most of these songs outside of Olivia (cuz i'm basic) and with hating Boygenius so I didn't have much to say.

As usual, disgusting results but always a pleasure with supa

I can acknowledge that it's catchy but it's kinda in the same territory as her foremother's Shake It Off, which is another attempt at recreating Hey Mickey, and both couldn't touch the original (though Olivia's is slightly more interesting).

Interesting. That’s not a comparison I would have drawn.

Thanks, babe. I know how miserable you were the entire time.

See you again next year (for Cowboy Carter vs. The Tortured Poets Department?).

This will end up as it always does, everyone vocally complaining about how much of a chore it is to get through but ultimately trying to be fair with scores while the crowd it caters to sends the most unapologetically biased scores

Never has one of my rates been more of a forced match. Fortunately, I love hiking!

I actually laughed out loud when I checked in and Co Star was the first one out of the top 5. ATRL servers better be ready for what's coming. Not a threat but a premonition

I think the Swifties hate me so much now that they won’t even participate.

Would you rather have someone who hates you and refuses to participate in your rates or someone who hates you but still participates, who knows what kind of trouble they could be cooking up. Unless you'll take it all for the ratings

Thanks for putting this together! Still hate the Amarae (spelling? don't know, also don't care) album but looking forward to giving The Tortured Poets Department her 10s next year.

Would #that album even be in contention for 2024, though? Are we expecting the critics to come around for the year-end lists?

@naval23, I guess you were right that it would flop even harder today...

I've hosted 3 rates on ATRL and I've noticed this pattern each time

The girlies need a time and place and 24 hours notice I fear

Bad Idea Right winning omg :jonnycat:

It was a cathartic moment hearing it for the first time and reminded me of banger pop in the 2000s...I wish it did better on the charts but ATRL showed taste with this rate

I love the rare occasion when my favorite song in a rate wins  Thanks for hosting, @supaspaz!

I don't know if I would take it all for ratings, but I wouldn't mind a little uptick from this year's edition.

I would probably argue for its inclusion on the sales records alone. It's certainly a massive pop phenomenon. But we can make that decision next year when I put together the lineup. It's not as easy as it used to be when I just pulled the top five albums from Pazz & Jop (RIP!).

:pancake:My early pick for next year will be something from ................ Billie (she usually wins these competitions)

Not On My Mama being kicked out of a deserved #1 by one ballot! SMFH!!!!!!!

I Remember Everything not being Zach's highest song??? That's honestly kinda crazy. Overtime is a great song too, but I'd have preferred like 3 other of his songs over it as the top pick. The fact he got two top 10s in here is cute though!

Amaarae barely getting a top 5 at all....... punishable offense of everyone involved.

Bad Idea Right... totally an undeniable winner. I can't be too mad I guess. I only think it flopped because Vampire never let go as "the hit" from the album and she kinda just "released BIR and moved on" as the tactic instead of trying to promote it (even though I heard it on the radio all the time when they were trying to push Get Him Back? And I rarely listen to the radio).

Thanks as always supa (and sorry for missing the reveals over the weekend)!! Always fun to be a part of your rates, esp since you always serve qualiTEA

2024... yeah if Taytay finds her way on the list with one of the most panned releases of the year (unless she gets some high placements on YE lists) I'll cackle. Cowboy Carter definitely a shoe-in too. Other potential contenders must be Brittany (I'm sure she'll get loads of Grammy noms), Kali, and Vampire Weekend (poor St Vincent). And Waxahatchee but don't include her because people seem to hate her sksksksksks

Thanks for all the effort you put into this supa! I appreciate it, even though I wasn't a very active participant this time around!

Kind of a funny outcome of the general dissatisfaction this time around. All the songs at the top were so closely clustered and just about any of them could have won if not for one bad score.

Such a gross order and outcome.Amarrrraaaeee will get her justice

Thanks for hosting nevertheless
