It still doesn’t change that our personal opinions or 520 randoms on Reddit upvoting a comment don’t matter against facts.

 

 

What’s not clicking with you is that the term may not have been coined until around Miley’s class yet it was an actual thing with brit. Literally everyone wanted their own britney hence why Disney capitalized on this with Hilary then miley. So the pioneers of this ex Disney actor turned super pop star applies to britney and people have all the right to mention her in a thread of stars that are here literally thanks to her. Oh and ariana wasn’t huge on Nick until after she started her solo pop music

Miley imo is bigger than Ariana only because Miley imo despite her ups and downs with her career. Miley peaks are always far bigger than Ariana. Ariana is just more consistent. All it shows though is when Miley tries very hard in her career and serves quality she ends ups winning.

Britney, Xtina and Justin on the Mickey Mouse Club were like the cast on SNL just with much smaller audience. They didn't become famous after the show ended. Nobody knew them aside from maybe a few kids. How they ended up breaking through YEARS later wasn't associated with the Mickey Mouse club and had nothing to do with it as evident that most people had to be REMINDED or INFORMED they were even on that show to begin with. The Mickey Mouse Club is just a "fun-fact" to their careers while Disney and Nickelodeon are ESSENTIAL to Miley's and co. 

 

Miley and Ariana were well-known, red carpet CELEBRITIES during their stint on their shows. They were introduced via those networks and became famous because of them. It was what created their music careers. Completely different from Britney and co.

ariana has smashes that are similar to WB and Flowers which kind of bigger than miley right low. Miley also has Hannah who is huge. These two things low key overshadow miley while Ariana is a superstar without these hang ups

Ariana doesn't have as big of a smash hit like Flowers and Wrecking Ball but she has more hits. Like, Ariana's biggest hits are factually smaller than Flowers (Problem, Break Free, Thank U Next, 7 Rings) but has several big hits in almost every era while Miley has two mega smashes in a decade and some flops or moderately successful singles in between. 

 

Miley's biggest hit obliterates Ariana's but Ariana's number of hits obliterate Miley's.

This is because what people associate being an ex act with Miley wasn’t a thing yet until after the MMC class and xtina, Ryan, *NSYNC and Britney breaking through lead to ex acts being a thing. And Ariana was not as huge as Miley or Hilary. Disney, hoping to fief make their own Britney pushed hard for Miley (from their sitcom inspired by Britney, look it up) whereas ari was a pioneer of building a core base thanks to early social media through her very shunned talents on victorious.

yeah. arianators used to compare Ari's firsts albums (Yours Truly, My Everything) with the other ex acts and it's not fair at all cuz it's a complete different story. 

ariana was barely seen as an ex act, the other had to make disney channel music, 100% different.

when it comes to music it really is between them but for who is bigger it depends of the way u look at it 

 

ariana is bigger but when we look at impact-  miley is bigger. cuz she was a teen sensation and managed to have other big moments as a pop star (bangerz and flowers) and as i said above ariana is barely seen as an ex act. she already started her music career without being attached to any channel, that helped her to surpass miley in numbers but at the same time this made miley impact bigger if u know what i mean, that's it.
