Does anyone else think that her Wicked role is really not going to be that big of an event? Maybe she just wants a bit of a break from the limelight but a 7 year break to focus on it is crazy.

This has been her dream role forever lol. She probably has a huge personal sentimental attachment to it, whereas to (most of) the rest of us it's just like... let's get this over and done with, out of the way.

 

OT: She should have stuck to the original plan and waited until 2027 if the quality of "yes, and?" is anything to go by.

If you read between the lines, I think it's pretty clear she's completely over music and is only doing it to fulfill her contractual obligations. Once that expires, she'll be a full-time musical actress. Which sucks but if that's where her heart is who can blame her?
