I don’t think any of us saw Beyonce snatching the title like that

 

Past years were Shape Of You, God’s Plan, Drivers License, Flowers…etc

"Mega smash"?  Sorry, but it takes at least a month or two for you to make this determination  A song having a strong first week or two is obviously not indicative of "mega smash" status, and as you're all on ATRL, you obviously know this truth.

when i first heard the song i thought it would flop, but then it didn't and it grew to be bigger and bigger with 6M update today  and already snatching #1 in NZ

To call is a smash and compare it to the other songs in the OP is too premature 

 

But if it keeps its current trajectory it will definitely reach those heights.
