Of course not she actually has singing talent :gaycat2:

Plus Kelly (solo) outsold all of the Spice Girls (solo) in the UK :gaycat2:

Yeah thanks to Nelly he was hotter than Destiny's Child then

Not quite. Their celebrity was as big as each other at the time but Nellyville only sold slightly better than Survivor in the states (likewise with Country Grammar/Writing's On The Wall). Nelly had some international success for a rapper but DC was obviously collectively bigger. The Kelly assist helped push Dilemma globally.

This was proven a lie.

The host probably wanted to know about the infamous hot pocket brawl between Slaychelle and Beyonce. She was afraid to tell on Beyonce and say Ms. William won and that Kelly was the one who ate it.  The true Dirty Laundry, I bet Letoya also can't want to break her silence on Kelly's secret horror movie acting career. Kelly was also the first black stunt woman on film, our unsung hero. (In Destiny's Child Beyonce voice)

jk.

If she wasn't associated with Beyonce she wouldn't even be invited to this show.

So you would never be annoyed of getting asked the same question for every interview?

Right especially when Kelly was the only who endured those years. It must've been a brutal time and then to get it thrown in her face every time she has an interview... whew

That’s apart of being a celebrity.

Who is your dream collab?

Favorite song?

Who inspires you?

it’s always the same questions for everyone and when you’re associated with someone bigger it comes with the territory. I’d rather be asked about my “best friend” than my enemy (Christina/Britney) in every interview ever.

This is one of the main reasons why she took massive break from the entertainment industry. Such a shame because she’s so talented & makes such great music. I want another album from her so badly.

I think Kelly last two albums are better than most of Bey music.

She’s right, time to establish boundaries if these people do t have common sense. Beyonce definitely supports Kelly on this. :clap3:

Michelle would never

And she's a C list at best. Making demands of interview questions is not in her lane

Anyone and everyone who's being interviewed has a right to request any subject not be asked about. It's literally how the whole process works.

Realistically, what else are they going to ask her about? She’s not interesting because she isn’t a big actress in film or television, she doesn’t release music, and her solo career was incredibly underwhelming.

We don’t want to hear about your kids and husband 24/7….

Realistically, they could ask her about the brand new Netflix film she's starring in that she's actually there to be interviewed about.

This.  This is why I said earlier it’s her fault for putting herself in this position.  She’s never consistent with her work + stalls (or shelves) everything (albums, shows, her label, Junes Diary, etc).

She should be at a place now where she’s built her own brand, so they care more about what she’s doing.

Lowkey her karma :coffee2:, b/c girlfriend used to lay it on THICK talking about how great Bey was in her interviews (both solo + while in DC).  Like…I get it, she IS amazing.  But Kelly kinda lost her identity in it, and hasn’t done much solo (consistently) to really build her own brand.

It’s a shame b/c I prefer her voice over Bey to some extent…she had/has so much potential.

I'm a huge Kelly fan but I understand the interviewers. There's just so many questions you can ask about that movie. Besides, everytime she gets asked about new music she seems so unconfortable and gives elusive answers. She never talks about which producer she's working with or which genre the album is gonna be. It's been way too long since her last album. She never tours. So... if you go to some interviews and Beyoncé just released two new songs... you can be sure you're gonna get asked about it.

Next time go there to perform a new songs, premiere some visuals and announce a new album and tour. You probably won't get Beyoncé questions then. Give us something interesting, girl.

This narrative is immature and baseless.

Kelly has achieved plenty outside of Destiny's Child.

Mea Culpa is what she is promoting, they need to focus on that.

All else aside... This phrase gets overused/misused a lot, but the woman has quite literally not aged a day since the mid 2000s.

Solange has submitted requests before an interview to not be asked about her sister. Kelly should have done this YEARS ago.

Honestly instead of fighting it, I would embrace it and answer the questions and move on!

They should ask her about chris brown and her love for him instead :gaycat2:

There’s no reason to ask her about Beyonce when she’s there to promote a film. Ask her about the film, and MAYBE her solo music. But why Bey?

Because she hasn't done solo music 11 years what's to talk about? She's not an interesting person

Kelly has released songs over the last couple of years, she hasn't released an album in 11 years. Just because you don't find her interesting, doesn't make her an uninteresting person.

If she was an interesting person people wouldn't be asking her about Beyonce. They don't ask Beyonce about Kelly and Michelle

Beyoncé doesn't do interviews, so they don't ask Beyoncé about anything. Nice try.
