Def wish she had saved it as a second single so it could’ve had its own (and well deserved) moment in the spotlight.

Somehow I think it's the contrast between both songs that made THE a hit, 16C serves to give more seriousness and depth to her going country which make people accept THE better. But I do hope it'll get its deserved shine later, maybe after a performance or some push (play-listing for example).

DIL and Telephone really were her only true hits in 2010’s (an argument I guess can be made about LOT and Formation)

Yes, check the credits.

The message is loud and clear, you know where it’s coming from.

She truly kept stopping her own bag for some bizarre reason. "Drunk in Love" and "Formation" both could've been huge #1s, particularly "Formation" but we all know how hard she fought to block that one.

We need this viral BOP to be her tenth (or 11th depending on how the Act II era goes )

even if she had no involvement in songwriting and production, she's still a great singer and entertainer. undervaluing these talents is tired, there are certain girlies y'all love to praise for being amazing songwriters but they have 0 charisma and stage presence (and can't sing). Bey is an accomplished singer regardless of whether she writes or not

Considering she dropped it during the Super Bowl I mean let’s have some context here

True, but for me that makes it more impressive in a way. She dropped it during a really busy week in the midst of all the hype, adverts, trailers, announcements that happen during the Superbowl. She could've dropped it during a quieter week and she would've got even more attention,

i do not think this is the case at all, she has to do something gimmick-y to garner attention since she is queen b

Her announcing a new single during a local event (the song is smashing globally) means literally nothing when the song has even more streams than it did on its debut day :rip:

Usher doesn’t seem to be benefiting the same way, and he actually PERFORMED there….

The way that some of you have to twist yourselves rather than just admit she’s slaying is something else :deadbanana4:

16 carriages is better but both are immaculate. This is what the Hive deserves after her mumble rap era.

I knew it was an ear worm from the get go, and confirmed it would go #1 once ATRL started trashing it.

The way I keep hearing this on TikTok and they're usually Gen Z. :rip:

The random remixes snuck in her #1's :rip: Her career strategy during the 10s paid off obviously but her ignoring her singles was so weird. Glad she and her team are actually putting in that effort again.

She sabotaged them.

I literally thought this was gonna be her first big flop era upon first listen.

You'd have to be a delusional Bey hater to not think it's impressive. :gaycat2:
