Triton Posted May 15 Posted May 15 I can't believe I rushed through all the episodes, we need season 2 asap!! 1
SinnerCity Posted May 15 Posted May 15 I was ready for Onslaught but that final episode blew me away!!!!!! 1
KaledKalil Posted May 15 Posted May 15 I don't think the show did Storm dirty at all. She had some amazing moments, even the episode last week with her fighting the sentinels, but they have to show other people as well. I feel like everyone was pretty well-balanced in showing their abilities and had progression within the story. I only one they did dirty was Wolverine, but that's not a bad thing since he has been the center of the team for the past 20 to 30 years.
Jglj Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Great season, hope they can keep the quality up on the next one. The whole season was phenomenal, from the animation, to the writing, to the voice performances. Let's hope it doesn't take them 3 years to deliver season 2. 1
DreamGlow Posted May 15 Posted May 15 4 hours ago, Distantconstellation said: That's what I said. She's been sidelined most of the season. Demayo is obviously not a fan and will throw scenes like omega level threat detected just to shut her fans up but it's obvious he's not about Storm. He's a jean fan. Even with the use of her powers he's lazy af. Throwing a few lightning bolts and that's it.. use your imagination and get creative. He's already been fired from Xmen 97 so he's not involved for season 3 but I believe he already did the scripts for season 2 so we are gonna have to keep seeing Storm as a minor character possibly until season 3. i cant believe theres OSH out there but like even her storyline ep is shared with professor
SinnerCity Posted May 15 Posted May 15 (edited) I really don't understand why the phoenix force emerged from that ocean for a second and then disappeared and yet when they were trying to stop the asteroid from impacting earth the phoenix force was nowhere to be found, quite odd. On the other hand, that post-credit scene with present-day Apocalypse hinting at Gambit being a horseman was FANTASTIC Edited May 15 by SinnerCity 4

They showed literally one second of a tornado and that's it.
Illyana Frost Posted May 15 Posted May 15 I know it's an animated character but Rogue for Best Supporting Actress at the emmys...her performance the whole season was INCREDIBLE!! She made me feel every single emotion!! 6
SinnerCity Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Storm literally had one of the best arcs and scenes of the entire series this season, people complaining about her not getting enough attention are crazy. I could see it for Wolverine since he didn't get much attention until last week's episode but all the characters got a fair share of attention this season. I mean, come on 2
loveisdead9582 Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Fantastic finale. I'm glad it has a second season because the ending gave me Wolverine and The X-Men vibes. I'd hate to end on a cliffhanger. Having a longer episode definitely helped too. I was prepared for onslaught but you never know… we still may see him. There were a lot of cameos too which I enjoyed. Can't wait for the second season. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long. 1

You have an OMEGA level mutant who literally struggle to break free from the sentinels grip, hold back the astroid that was heading to earth. If she was an alpha level then I can understand. The only moment she had was that one epic moment in ep 1 & thats it! Thats the frustration. Edited May 16 by Magic_boXX 1

Something tells me they might already be close to being finished animating the second season. I am a bit confused on the storyline. Is Onslaught still happening?

Storm is still one of the most powerful mutants in the world and yet couldn't escape the attack of the sentinels and that's exactly why it was so terrifying. The war against Bastien and the sentinals showed us the mutants were in real danger, even the omega ones.
PopMusicJunkie Posted May 16 Posted May 16 When Marvel does it right, they go all the way. Easily my favorite Disney+ series behind WandaVision and Loki rounding out the trinity. 5

Distantconstellation Posted May 16 Posted May 16 (edited) Storm fans are going IN on demayo on Twitter, damn. Either way I'm so glad that man was fired. He made it clear that he's a Magneto & Jean stan. He already wrote the script for season 2 before he was fired. Maybe they aren't using anything he wrote and we will finally see Storm shine. His excuses as to why she didn't defend herself from Bastion at the end when he choked her are pathetic. I will NEVER be happy with her just throwing a couple of tornadoes and lightning. Use her powers the right way. show us how she is able to control Electromagnetism as well or how she's able to use atmospheric pressure on her enemies or how she's able to put forcefields around herself, she's done this feat many times. I will not be happy with her getting the bryan singer treatment again and Beau Demayo was heading in that direction.. saying she's powerful and calling her a goddess is just lip service. Show us power. Show us what she's capable of because she uses that power in the comics. Edited May 16 by Distantconstellation 2

k4rmabutterfly Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Genuinely loved the whole thing, wow wow wow Happy that Jean got to shine and be an actual interesting and powerful character without the Phoenix (unlike the original series). All the characters were good imo, Jubilee can go tho, Kitty can easily replace her. Also can we talk about the very in your face gay moments in the series? Sunspot coming out to his parents, Morph declaring their love for Wolverine + being non-binary, Professor and Magneto being gay af for each other wow… Beau went off lmaoooo and I loved it. Excited for Iceman and the second season. I think this series can be the next big thing for Marvel tbh, wait until Gen-Z and TikTok discover it. 2
Meloetta Carey Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I think this needed more episodes to flesh out certain plots and some stuff should've been saved for later. A lot of it just lacked the emotional punch because of the time constraints. I think future seasons will be better because they'll have a safety net to plan hopefully. I'd also like Jubilee to go live with Emma and the Gen X kids, so Monet can bully her
KFC Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I really enjoyed the series long arc but I kinda missed the standalone episodes the OG series used to do 1
Magic_boXX Posted May 18 Posted May 18 I knew the voice of jean sounded soo fimiliar when she said Phoenix! This is the same voice actress on the anime.

All I hear is Sam from Totally Spies and it doesn't help both characters are redheads. unpopular opinion but Rogue's voice actor bothered me in the beginning because it skewed like an old lady when the character is actually young. (I know it's the OG voice actor and she is older) 1
zoldyck Posted May 18 Posted May 18 It ia great show, and i agree attention given to all X-Men was not equal but they still did enough with everyone except for wolverine (who literally had been center for decades) so it is not big deal. Jean surely got the best with her clone storyline, fight with sinistet, relationship with cyclops and nathan. I am just glad my fave Rogue had pretty good arc. Probably 3rd after Jean and Magneto in term of attention.
