The Surfer somehow strangely reminds me of The Now Now by Gorillaz, which happens to be my fav band.

oh this album feels like such a sleek and sophisticated culmination of their previous work, the production is so interesting. i feel like it has so many layers to continue to uncover on relistens.
 

i hadn't checked out the singles but the album lived up to and surpassed the hype. i wasn't expecting this at all from them!
