Truth Teller Posted March 15 Posted March 15 This is the kind of album I want to save for the right context, for an optimized first listen. Can someone confirm that I need to save it for a long walk on a sunny day? Or is it a more melancholic sound?

campelo Posted March 15 Posted March 15 this is her second best after golden hour the bridge in anime eyes is just historic!!!!
AxelFox Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Giver/Taker gives me goosebumps everytime it starts playing. Yeah this is my favorite track from the album for sure.
Haze Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I also get more folk from this, which is probably why i'm loving it. There's such a simplicity to the whole thing , which sometimes maybe borders on a lack of substance, but she does it so well that it just feels that these songs have always existed and they have just been passed on. 2
PaloSanto Posted March 15 Posted March 15 what a lovely album, feels like the warmth of the sun on your face on a cold clear winter day. The songs I replayed after first listen: Deeper Well, Giver/Taker, Sway (!!!), Dinner With Friends (!!!!!), The Architect, Heaven Is (!!), Anime Eyes (!!!!), Nothing To Be Scared Of 1
Riverbank Posted March 15 Posted March 15 This is such a spring album My faves: Cardinal, Dinner With Friends, Heart of the Woods, Jade Green, Lonely Millionaire
Supervillain Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Anime Eyes bridge is crazy I'm loving the album more & more with every listen Everything about it is soo spring, I'm glad she decided to release it in March
KatyPrismSpirit Posted March 15 Posted March 15 whats up with the poor mixing and production on this album? like seriously 3
Draper. Posted March 15 Posted March 15 This is cute but it’s still not touching Pageant Material nor Golden Hour for me. I don’t know if I’ll use it much. My favorites on first listen were Cardinal (the California Dreaming / Fallen Fruit vibes!!), Sway, Heaven Is and Anime Eyes.
surprisecentres Posted March 15 Posted March 15 It’s AOTY already I fear. The way her songwriting and production have developed >>>
boxoffice Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I listened to this last night. What a beautiful album! My top 3: Giver/Taker Jade Green Anime Eyes

KatyPrismSpirit Posted March 15 Posted March 15 The Architect Lonely Millionaire Too Good To Be True Sway Anime Eyes are the best tracks on this album. 1

Same with the guitars. With acoustic music I prefer a more raw sound. Not when it sounds overproduced Edited March 15 by KatyPrismSpirit

This album is literally made for a sunny day walk but also perfect for a slightly hazy, misty morning walk or a walk after it’s rained and it’s still foggy. 2
