It's similar and very different at the same time, to be honest. I feel like it's partially an evolution of the Golden Hour and starcrossed style, and partially a return to country. Like one of the twitter users said, it's similar to Golden Hour but mixed with Pageant Material a bit. I would add that it's also more folk oriented. One of the recurring themes in many of the tracks is nature.

Sounds amazing :jonnycat: I think those who heard the album also mentioned it sounded more folky/ “witchy” so this sounds very exciting

The alt-country scene is poppin right now so I would love an album in that vein from her.

It is! Yes, imagine a Golden Hour but more introspective, folk

Golden Hour mixed with Pageant Material has me so excited. Her two best albums! I’m hoping this means witty and sharp lyricism like PM with more experimental production like on GH. Either way, it’s about damn time! And no features please! :ryan3:

The folky, naturey vibe described makes me think of this gem :jonnycat:

Some of my favourites from this upcoming era include:

Deeper Well (amazing song imo, and very relatable);

A song that is sonically similar to Hookup Scene;

A song whose intro is very similar to Love Is A Wild Thing's one

😀

Are there upbeat songs or are the songs generally more down-tempo this time round?

Very excited for this. Star-Crossed has some great songs on it but it pales in comparison to her first three albums.
