tost1 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 "it's literally the best music I've ever made" Girl, it's the only music you ever made 3
Peroxide Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Normani really made the wrong call when signing with RCA. She’s probably submitted about 4 or 5 debut albums at this point. We’re more likely to get a documentary on her struggles to release music than an album… 2
TaggedGalaxy Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Taylor released 8 albums since Normani released Motivation. Girl we are tired of being gaslit

I can tell you she definitely jumped at the offer and immediately signed rather than weighing her options and negotiating the contract that was offered to her. All she saw was “solo career” and jumped ahead of herself.

Even Victoria Monét is kind of having her moment 2

Actually get someone comparable to Normani's situation, eg Tinashe, who was actually held up from releasing for 5 years straight (literal same time Normani has been held to), but of course, you're obtuse 1

She just kept bombing & was actually able to release multiple albums. Is it really comparable to Normani?
Erreur2 La Nature Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Absolutely nothing a worth a 15 years wait. And this is not hard to do better than what you already released, Normani.

One moment it’s “she’s a pErFecTioNisT”, and the next it’s “but hEr fAmiLy”, and of course the “it’s hEr lAbEl’s fAUlt”. It’s like, pick a struggle and stick with it instead of flip flopping to suit the narrative. I’ve never seen so many excuses be made for a lazy singer who doesn’t have a single album out but thinks she’s Beyoncé status already. 5
Truth Teller Posted January 19 Posted January 19 The dead eyes when she says she's excited The fact that her first thought is to hype up the artwork and not the music 3
AFullMoonlight Posted January 19 Posted January 19 This site is full of deranged humans. In what world does someone simply not releasing music (most likely do to label reasons) deserves this much vitriol? You'd think this girl would have committed a felony the way some of you talk about her. You're salivating over dragging her for 'flopping' because she dared to not be your show pony. Normani has previously stated that she has over three albums of material and she has an album worth of material that has leaked. It is not a conspiracy to say that she could have been held back by her label which is notoriously known for doing so to their artist. It is very braindead of any of you to simply claim her to be lazy in this thread about an interview she's doing on a red carpet for a movie she's in. She got asked a question about music and she answered. She's not on twitter all day everyday hyping herself up and she has been quiet for a year. 5 1 1 2
Kamil24 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Maybe for the few fans it will be worth it, but not for her. If the music is so good, it could have been on her 3rd album by now. The first album doesn't need to be perfect, she killed the hype by trying to be too perfect. 1

That, and RCA has a relatively poor reputation when compared to the other major labels.

wehan6 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 her constantly teasing this but never releasing it is kinda camp. makes me stan her a little bit tbh 1
Simple Posted January 19 Posted January 19 It will not be worth it, all her previous singles are mid and no stand outs. She had us with Motivation for a sec and then she had to go all "I didn't choose that song to be a single", wtf 1
