NME for the win

Not the publication that gives every mediocre k-pop release a 5/5.

Pitchfork fell from grace recenty, but NME has been in the bottom of hell since like the early 00's :deadbanana:

Will Rolling Stone be next?

the pitchfork, fantano, etc enthusiasts are intolerable but the dissolving of media is sad

Pitchfork has also been dramatically out of touch from my perspective on their reviews

I know that we "hate" them and all that but this is kinda sad and actually a big loss for music journalism. Many of their recent reviews were quite boring and predictable but they were genuinely the last publication that I cared about, no matter how many times I keep telling myself "idc about p4k" after they underscore or lash one of my fave albums. They were one of the few left who dared to lash big names despite their cults of fans attacking them.

We're stuck with ugly ass Rolling Stone 5/5 for everyone and their mothers.

I'm bittersweet about it as they were starting to give pop music more of a far shot than in the past.

I didn't even check p4k that much but is is very sad news. As music fans, there's nothing to commemorate watching one of the most influential music publications going down like that. Not to mention the mass lay offs. This truly sucks.

Why are people celebrating this just because y'all don't like what they write?

Y'all are terrible people and karma will do its job. Jesus.

Halsey won :clap3:

What does this mean though? Will deserving albums still be getting Best New Music? :gaycat6:

Is Sofia Kourtesis gonna be the last artist Pitchfork lead me to... the final girl.

Now y’all can embrace the future of music journalism with Anthony Fentano.

Sorry for the people who lost their jobs, hopefully they land on their feet.

Having said that, I couldn't help but laugh at the Halsey jokes
