305 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Iβm here for the ******* rave. The girls and the gays that know how to party will eat this up
skwonderfactory Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Sssooooo when is she going to announce the album and release it?
Spark Posted January 17 Posted January 17 This sounds so uncommercial from the credits, but the article claims it's full of bangers. I'm so curious now. I can't even imagine the sound fully.
ReachOut Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I hoped for 13 songs but I'm ok with 11. We don't need ballads from Miss Lipa
Abracadabra Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Primal Scream and Massive Attack influences? Β Oh Duallah 2

State of Grace. Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Quote Β 11 tracks Mostly Kevin/Danny psychedelic-pop-infused rave cultureΒ inspired by acts like Primal Scream and Massive Attack an updated take on Gwen Stefani's "Cool" Carole King- and Fleetwood Mac-inspired moment Β Most of this sounds straight out of a "State of Grace dream album for a pop girl" generator. I haven't been this excited for an album in forever.Β I've been DYING for a pop girl to make an album with Kevin Parker and since Miss GaGa isn't doing it, glad Dua is because Houdini is proof that many excellent songs are coming.Β 2
burninredhot Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Why would anyone expect Dua Lipa to make a ballad? That's like expecting a dance floor bop from AdeleΒ
Blackout2006 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 THAT DESCRIPTION? FLEETWOOD MAC? PSYCHEDELIC POP INFLUENCE? ODE TO UK'S RAVE CULTURE? SHE IS GIVING EVERYONE WHAT WE WANT
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted January 19 ATRL Moderator Posted January 19 I still would love one track on the album to be similar to this classic Β
KatyPrismSpirit Posted January 19 Posted January 19 (edited) OMG no collabs on the album.Β Edited January 19 by KatyPrismSpirit
liquiddiamonds Posted January 19 Posted January 19 The description is right up my alley so its already on my watchlist. Houdini is great and looks like not even a highlight. I can smell her best release everβ¦. Β BUT Lippers are warned that by the sounds they described itβs a huge **** you to the american market. Although if theres one british act that can break these sounds in the US is Ms Lipa herself Β truly her body language era (lowkey better than Fever) Β Β PERCHED
