Kayseri Mantisi Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I'm so excited but "don’t give a ****-ness" made me cringe a little ngl

illia Posted January 16 Posted January 16 heavily inspired by acts like Primal Scream and Massive Attack Oh we won 1
G.U.Y. Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Caroline Polachek already did a great album inspired by Massive Attack. 1 1

I’m sure she’ll do plenty rereleases too. The thing is (if she would want to) she could easily have a 20+tracks skipless album. Look at most of her FN scraps. Just pop perfection. But her music taste is *sorry Dua* just awful so of course she chooses the worst possible songs for the finished album (why on earth would you release BWBB, NMP & GIB over Crocodile Tears, Fun, Tumbling, Love Is Religion and Ball & Chain) 1 1
Revolution Posted January 16 Posted January 16 we dont need ballads, we r already depressed enough in real life give bops.
aaron511 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 No ballads? I wanted a proper heartbreaker from her finally. The thing I mind the most about her is lack of lyrical depth and it seems like that is not gonna be changing too soon 1

So it’s basically an EP (with only 3 songs) . Only 3 tracks by either Ian Kirkpatrick, Koz, Jeff Bhasker, Andrew Watt, GRADES or Jason Evigan (producers who were seen with Dua in the studio for DL3). WTF. I was so excited for this but my excitement just dropped to the floor. Thank god those 12 FN songs surfaced recently. Will be enough until DL4 This. If Houdini is the standout of the Danny L Harl & Co sessions then...Chile 8 tracks solely made by them is A LOT (in a bad way), I hope I'm surprised and wrong when the album comes out. aesthetic bih Posted January 16 Posted January 16 With that amount of tracks, Whodidn't better not be the best song in the album then. 1

Only ballads can have deeper lyrics? It looks like you don’t have anything to say because this take is giving… I don’t be too hard and say the word I’m thinking… well, it’s giving uneducated.
CottageHore Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Another critically acclaimed masterpiece, I can feel it
Burqa Posted January 16 Posted January 16 i'm kinda scared not gonna lie. FN is gonna be hard to top specially cause it seems there isn't a clear direction (yet) for this era
Tyrion_LMG Posted January 16 Posted January 16 This and Ariana’s are my most anticipated albums this year. I need them to announce them asap
ultraviolence.xx Posted January 16 Posted January 16 the song reminiscent of (Gwen's) Cool............... yeah, I need it

It’s all artists and labels finding ways to mess with the units/SEA format. So Midnights is a playlist as well, admit it. Wow triggered much? Honestly, if the only thing Dua did was release 2 extra songs on a new version that was not originally released with the album, she wouldn’t have this narrative. However she has the habit of doubling the length of her albums over the course of two years. 1
perfectillusion204 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 They’re trying to recreate the FN era it’s kind of not cute. It sounds like the album isn’t even coming out soon either, probably April. 11 songs is also NOT cute at all. Considering we will only have maximum 9 new songs to hear by the time the album is out

ultraviolence.xx Posted January 16 Posted January 16 “I really care about how the fans respond,” she says. (After “Houdini” was released, she was frustrated that people said it still sounded “disco” when none of her influences come from there.)
