The sex appeal expired in the 00's, he doesn't have a strong voice like some of his other has-been peers, he doesn't have a genre outside of pop to lean into like Beyonce with r&b and Shakira with Latin and he definitely doesn't have any opinions or thoughts to convey. His last hit literally says "Sometimes the greatest way to say something is to say nothing at all". That's his politics. And I say this as someone who still likes him but his strategy is harder to get away with in 2024. anyway I’m going into this open.
