Shelter Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I find it more believable than the Travis relationship, but I don’t get the obsession with sexuality. Why do people care so much.

You Need To Calm Down is all the proof you need to know that Taylor is, in fact, a heterosexual. No queer person would make a song that cringe. — OT: Good her team is calling out that ridiculous article. Gaylors will continue to come up with insane conspiracies to explain it away though. Even if Taylor came out and said, “I am a heterosexual,” they would somehow add it as “evidence” for her actually being gay somehow. 1 4
Cruel Summer Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Of course some of you are turning this into “well, she was basically asking for this”

ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted January 6 ATRL Moderator Posted January 6 I think it’s weird how some of her fans project that image to her when she’s obviously a straight woman. However, it does happen to tons of stars, and seeing the Shawn Mendes comparison is weird since he’s subjected to it more often IMO. I don’t think it’s a big enough issue for there to be a statement though. I need our current pop stars to be more unbothered. She’s happy in a relationship with a hot man and is incredibly successful 1 1 1
The Music Industry Posted January 6 Posted January 6 The fact that the New York Times even allowed a 5K-word think piece pedalling a conspiracy theory about someone's sexuality is incredibly odd 2
By the Water Posted January 6 Posted January 6 If only it was just about thinking she's gay Gaylors deserve every lashing and more
Yawn Posted January 6 Posted January 6 there’s no way she’s that tall and isn’t into a bit of muff sorry 4 1

Gaylors have been occupying a bigger place in the fandom as months/years go by, to the point where one of the biggest newspaper in the world wrote a think piece about it. It's totally normal that her team reacted

JennyWayne Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I'll never understand how someone who has only openly dated men writes song about being in love with said men has never publicly admitted to finding a romantic interest in women is, because of these things, in some way the pinnacle of heterosexuality The subject to so much speculation about their sexuality. Those gaylors have some mental illnesses for real.

awesomepossum Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Hear me out. Why does she not respond when people speculate about which men her music is about? Like when people speculate that All Too Well is about Jake Gyllenhall, or that she cheated on Calvin Harris, etc. she doesn't deny or address any of it. But when someone reads her music through a queer lens she goes to CNN to catgeorically deny it? Seems a lil homophobic to me, sorry 1 1 1 2 4
Wonderland Posted January 6 Posted January 6 So she’s mad at her own fans? The “Gaylors” are the delusional ones making all of this happen.

Seems a lil homophobic to me, sorry She has addressed it through her prologues and her poetry stating that you can’t assign one individual muse to every single song as if it’s some sort of paternity test. She takes mosaics of her experiences and her emotions and the stories she sees in movies or reads in literature and meshes it all into what we are then peddled as songs about her life. It’s not homophobic to ask people to stop running public think pieces claiming you are lying about your sexuality. 2 2
