Now that she’s freee why wouldn’t she want to do something music again on her terms? She’s not forced anymore.

Easy, she doesn't want to.

She sees the music industry as toxic and for good reason, it is. She just wants to be creative for herself from what I can tell from her captions and the book. As far as she's concerned, the world thinks she's a shitty, damaged human being with no artistic value. Why would she want to put her precious work out there? She's already beyond loaded and set for generations to come, and has left an inescapable and undeniable mark on the industry. She has nothing to prove. Seethe tbh

Not Manjobi being the final song of her music career.

Good for her, tbh.

She better focus on her mental health right now and the industry is no place to do that.

At least people will stop using her. Although her label could use the same Mya Marie vocals and release albums on her behalf they have done that for two decades now.

2 decades? They only did that for BJ.

even if it was 20 years it’s still less time than your faves last solo, non-remixed #1.

OT: good the music industry is disgusting, corrupt, and easily manipulated :clap3:

This is what happens when you stan someone who barely puts any input into their music.

Either way, her team can always hire Myah again to make more Britney Jean type albums, or even use AI now. Problem solved. :cm:

And they would probably sell more copies than someone’s fave’s recent musical and beauty outputs combined so perhaps what you suggest wouldn’t be such a bad thing after all

As a 22 year old I'm sad I'll never be able to see Britney in concert and that a living legend has basically retired. But it's good that she has the choice now to live her life the way she wants it.

More like they would remain panned GRAMMY-less flops much like Britney Jean itself

GRAMMYs don't sell show tickets, as you probably know by now, hit singles do, so now what

If VOCAL TALENT sings in the woods, but nobody is around because nobody bought tickets, does the VOCAL TALENT still make a sound?

Nice to know that screeching like a banshee is now considered vocal talent. Maybe that’s why plankton is the most popular artist doing covers now.

She was forced to record and perform for 10 years. Literally from 2008-2018 when she had enough and Domination was canceled. It comes to no surprise that she doesn't want to do anything music related now.

You just answered your own question.

Too bad that won't take away from the fact that Britney Spears has almost no vocal talent and you lot have to resort to numbers to deflect from that harsh reality.

It seems those "numbers" have you so pressed you need to infest every Britney thread. Cope

She's not really musically gifted in any way and after reading her book she only enjoyed her career for a very short while. This is the best decision she could make, she needs to prioritise her mental wellbeing.

This is the sad truth. Not that Britney isn't musically gifted (ironic coming from a Swift fan) considering Britney is a great interpreter of songs and has self written some of her best material but that she was done with the industry 20 years ago. She essentially gave up her career to marry KFed and all the "promo" she did for Blackout was the VMA performance and that horrific interview with Ryan Seacrest after she had fired her entire team. I'm convinced if it wasn't for the conservatorship she would have retired a long time ago. She just doesn't have the passion for it and it has been obvious for many years. She might as well go and enjoy her life now that she's free.

yep. I stanned Brit from the early days and when she got with Kevin it was p obvious that she was either planning to retire or drastically scale back on her career, she seemed done. When Jive put out her greatest hits album around that time fans were convinced she was going to be going away for a while.

if it was not for the c-ship I fully believe she would’ve left the industry a longggggg time ago. Things never were the same after the JT breakup (with the exception of the amazing ITZ album) I just don’t think her heart was in it anymore and understandably, hence her saying in her book during The Onyx Hotel Tour she was miserable.

i just hope she’s happy and finally able to live her life on her own terms. If she never made another song again I’d be fine with that, you can’t force someone to do something their heart just isn’t into anymore.
