I've often wondered, if the issue truly was money, the parents/members could have asked for a royalty agreement too. But it seems the position was only leave the business or leave the group, neither of which was a choice for Jessica. SM failed to act until it was too late.

B&E has been open for nearly 10 years, yet it never interfered Jessica acquiring CFs, including with top level luxury fashion houses:michael:

I think Jessica was planning to leave the group once her business (that benefited off the Soshi brand) took off and was ready to marry her rich boyfriend. She only technically owed SM their royalties, but nothing in fine print for the 8 members, and what for if she's already on her exit stage? I think the members just hastened this process. Let's be real, has Jessica ever seemed like a Forever 9 girl? She lowkey serves Blackpink energy.

There was no plan to leave, she was working on Tokyo Dome, recording a unit album and promoting with the group in Japan and China at the time of her exit.

It has been over 10 years since she was with Tyler and there is no evidence of marriage. Her brand also never made any reference to SNSD, it was a brand in her own name :michael:

And what about it? At least the Seunghan drama is from 2023 and ongoing, while y'all continue arguing about Jessica vs SNSD drama that happened in 1934

I mean yea those are her contractual obligations, but that doesn't mean she's lowkey readying up her own infrastructure to leave the group.

The perspective might have been different back then? And Jessica's brand alone is SNSD...

The only reason why SM keeps Super Junior around despite them probably operating at a net loss is because Super CRIMINALS know where the bodies are buried and if SM cancels their contracts, they're going to spill all the tea and take a lot of people over there down with them.

The members didn't kick out Jessica 🤣 let go of this decade old lie. The members don't even have enough power to make thier own schedule, how they gonna have more power then the company executives that write thier checks:deadbanana2: Also Jessica didn't even know she was kicked out until it hit the media.

No. It's closest to the truth. The problem was instigated by the members/parents, not SM, who was already receiving royalties from B&E due to an agreement with Jessica. They actually had zero reason to remove Jessica from the group over a side business. So if Jessica didn't want to leave and SM didn't have any desire to remove her originally...then that can only leave one group of people in the frame.

Dispatch had posted what is arguably the closest tea we have to the true situation

But it was mysteriously deleted within an hour and later replaced by an article that heavily favored SM/SNSD and stated lies that Jessica was getting married, wanted to quit, go to design school and all the other nonsense used to smear/damage her image in the media...which time has ALL proven to be false.

I wonder what she meant in that podcast recently when she said looking back, she needed time to mature. I don't think it's her fault but it sounds like she is more objective and passive on the subject now. I still haven't read the books because I didn't want my brain to inflate with rabbit holes and conspiracy theories

this may be controversial but I feel like Sweat is more of a RIIZE song

RIIZE = sexy, cool

ZB1 = cute, adorable

She said it was a time for her to "grow up" in the sense of handling the transition period from being a girl group member to then standing alone as a solo artist. There were a lot of hardships and adjustments she had to get through in that time.

Personally, I think she puts on a brave face about it, but she did also refer to it as one of the "darkest times" in her life in that podcast.
