But let me not speak so fast Yeah I wouldn't make any assumptions based on 12 hours The Bruno Mars ft does help. Honestly surprised Jennie didn't have a ft on her single as a big western name brings attention. Maybe she does on other singles like Lisa for her second single. I feel like she could snatch a collab with Sabrina or something since she loves black pink. Edited October 18 by Gaia 1

I mean it's a BP member song. the fans and the kpop casual fans will carry it initially but it will need payola and have to rely on Bruno's name to properly crossover to the GP. I think mantra is l at like #150 something
Pluto6 Posted October 18 Posted October 18 (edited) I feel like Kpop is slowly shifting towards "the great era of soloists", especially with the way BP and BTS members are constantly releasing solo music now, that are outperforming 99 % of Kpop right now. I don't see either BTS or BP focusing on group activities as much anymore with both groups probably having 1 comeback each in 2025 along with a world tour for both groups. Other than that I see both group mostly focusing on their solo careers. Like BTS and BP alone makes 11 successful soloists: Lisa Jennie Rosè Jisoo Jungkook Jimin V Jin Suga J-Hope RM I'm curious how the competition is going unfold in the upcoming years. Jennie, Lisa, Rosè, Jungkook and Jimin are probably the ones who have the biggest chances of going mainstream tho, but you never know. Edited October 18 by Pluto6 1 1

Everyone is preparing for war with Jennie, Rose, ILLIT, G-Dragon, etc. releasing and SM's just throwing out a song they like but think will be polarizing and bomb Then again, they thought Supernova would underperform and Armageddon would be a massive smash, so maybe they don't really have their pulse on what will be a hit.

hallucinate Posted October 18 Posted October 18 can we be serious none of the BP (or BTS) members are making it in the west in the same way as an artist like sabrina or chappell or olivia did. like it's not just happening they can get a hit if a song goes viral but that won't make them "mainstream" and i think that's OK their albums will sell regardless and that's what matters the most to the labels 1 1

hallucinate Posted October 18 Posted October 18 (edited) plus 3/4 of BP are doing amazing in korea like every release went top 3 i think also despite being called LaLoser, her solo debut debuted/peaked higher than some of her korean peers' debuts/comebacks Edited October 18 by hallucinate
Rainy Devil Posted October 18 Posted October 18 APT is actually the BP solo I have liked the most. Rose really did that and Bruno fits the song so well. Is not like a lot of these western collabs that feel forced, weird or out of place. I'm very surprised. 1
illia Posted October 18 Posted October 18 APATEU APATEU APATEU APATEU It's so annoying and goofy but catchy at the same time
40_L3VE Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Well, well, well, Ms. Roseanne Park. What a cute little bop!

To be honest, none of the aespa title tracks feel safe with the exception of Spicy. The fact that songs like Next Level, Drama and Supernova became hits was a surprise imo. Sailor Moon Posted October 18 Posted October 18 tbh i know kpop acts have VERY slim chance of becoming a household name in the US, but people said the same thing about BTS and BLACKPINK becoming global. It might not happen, but it can happen. I actually think with APT Rosé has a really nice chance of impacting the charts globally. Unlikely but her interacting with Taylor Swift/Sabrina/Olivia can do wonders. I hope she can get invited to sing at their tour somehow. Releasing this collab with Bruno was already a huge step for her. 1
EndofASadMovie Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Sometimes, I'm very surprised how popular the BP girls are. People who don't follow kpop and dont even give it a minute to listen to it when you recommend it to them actually know them and it's always shocking to me. This is the advantage they have over other groups that came after them. 7
