nicki released one of her biggest hits (TUSA) 2 months after her supposed retirement…

Karol G's song on Karol G's album, but congratulations to Minaj. It did better globally than MEGATRON and her previous *however many* singles as a lead artist.

so im expecting the same type of performance for CB2 if she changed her mind!

Where's the correlation between changing your mind and being successful? I was merely pointing out that situations change.

N/A it’s been almost 6 years :)

6 years ago was December 2017 - Cardi hadn't even released her first studio album at that point...

it’s probably going to debut with 120K max (considering the tragic state of her career)

i don’t see her having any hits from the album unless she calls bad bunny again. it won’t have longevity. she’s very much washed and atlantic will not be willing to spend more money on her.

I respect your opinion but I don't understand why it should flop. Invasion of Privacy debuted #1 on the Hot 200 with 255k sales first week, scoring the greatest debut for a female rap album in the last 10 years, and managed to chart all 13 songs on the Hot 100. Cardi is also the only female rapper to score 5 #1 hits. So there is potential for the album to be big, just as there's potential for any other A-List recording artist. I mean, already it's amassed almost 2 billion streams, so who knows how things will go?

if she adds wap and up she’d debut at #2 why tf shouldn’t she

took me a while to figure out who CB was. it's not looking good for the Bodak Yellow rapper..... I wish she would give us bops again.

How is the state of her career tragic?

Again, as a lead artist: Hot **** and Bongos peaked within the Top 15, last year's Tomorrow 2 went Top 10... that's really not as bad as you make it sound.

I’m a stan and she’s become so annoying when she tweets **** like this - as if fans are supposed to beg or be desperate for an artist to release music. Girl bye lol

...at which time she was still in the era of her first album. It wasn't until the release of Money (October 2018) that people began to expect CB2.

she literally pulls extremely similar debuts to nicki’s lead songs, so they’ll probably get similar streaming units. and cardi will make the better album so people will stay streaming after the first day

I mean, all of her releases since Up have managed to peak Top 15. That's definitely not too shabby - shows potential. Hopefully the next single resonates more with the general public than Hot **** and Bongos ever did.

She waited too long to release that no one really cares. It's not like she has the insane level of artistry or talent that would that would warrant the GP to flock to her new music. Her fanbase has reduced drastically since 2018 and with the remaining few fans she has, she is telling them to off themselves so I don't really understand who is going to be that KEEN to support her future projects :deadbanana:

Quite frankly, no one is checking for Cardi B in 2023 let alone in 2024!

Nicki is not who you should be worried about when PF2 has sold almost 400K units after it's 3rd week. Let's focus on getting Cardi to release a new album first

Not having an album ready with WAP and Up in 2020/21 might have been one of the worst career fumbles of all time. If she tacks these two onto an album now, it looks desperate. If she doesn't, she loses out on some big numbers. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I quite frankly don't care about streaming stats that much, but she made it apparent that she does.

I honestly think she'll just try to stack up some well-known features, get some radio-friendly hooks, and hope for the best. If it bombs, seeing her concerning Twitter outbursts already, I'm pretty sure it would be her last album. That would be a big day for the Barbz.

that still pisses me off so bad cause she had a bunch of songs in the vault from 2018-2021 and even if the album would’ve been worse than iop she still shoulda put **** out

imagine putting singles that are almost half a decade old on a new album

it’s basically admitting you’re a has been that can’t put out any new hits

at first she needs to find herself again cause wap and up both were good and unique but the other two is weak. if she comes out with something good she would easily have 200k
