The way she says "NIP-PLE RANGS" is so catchy too.

The second half grew on me but Id love a release w just the first part and an added verse.

tbh this is better than a good handful of RENAISSANCE song if only for the fact that it feels like such a complete experience.

 

In my album ranking it probably is somewhere in the upper middle.

I think there's a difference between a stand-alone teaser and sneaking a teaser for a completely new work at the end of another. One gives the work its own moment, the other doesn't even allow the audience to take a second to digest the first piece of content, before it already begins trying to sell you another.

 

By doing that, Beyoncé would allow the takeaway and much of the focus to be on what's next, and less about what we've concluded. In this way, it's something closer to letting it stand as art, confident and definitive, and not needing to tie it to another commercial endeavour literally immediately after it's done, more for the benefit of the next project than the current.

 

I don't doubt that the tactic would work well, but I just don't think it's Beyoncé's style.

after waiting for so long for visuals, I think releasing a studio video now without the full thing would be weird

 

but we deserve a tour video of this song... like just an on-beat montage of tour moments, and there are SO MANY looks that weren't in the film.

 

we won't get it but it's a dream.

Yes, though the conversation here wasn't about why they're not released or if they even exist, but the act of adding a teaser for what's next at the end of the film.

I watched a review yesterday that brought up possible soundtracking opportunities for HBCU majorettes, WNBA games (both gametime and practice), and the voguing community (second half). I think this record may have legs.

It has been on the "Taking Off" and "Spincrease" areas of Urban Radio on Mediabase for the last week. 

 

Fingers crossed it gets added to Urban/Rhythmic in early January when little new music is out, and formats are tired of playing last year's music. The dark horse is pop radio.
