Robyn. Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Considering Smile sold 50k in its first week, I'll say Katy was very GP dependent because that's low, even for an album that bombed. Even Glory outsold it. If your fanbase was that solid, you wouldn't fall that low.

Rihanna Lift Me Up debut numbers - 7.6M Katy Perry Daisies debut numbers - 2.3M Spotify Numbers Lift Me Up - 337M total (1 year figures); 278K daily streams Daisies - 214M total (3 year figures); 25K daily streams YouTube Numbers Lift Me Up - 139M views Daisies - 29M views That a Katy stan would even call Rihanna's numbers mediocre in 2023 like she's not consistently doubling Katy's streams on a daily basis with Katy releasing 2 albums since she last released. There are no words 1
Last Boy on Earth Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 (edited) Not ya'll comparing Katy's eras where she was promoting and performing somewhere 365 days a year for album campaigns that were never ending and touring with hundreds of dates with Rihanna's eras that lasted 6 months tops.. and the albums were still selling on par sales wise.. Katy was the definition of someone being pushed down our throats and the album numbers were still lacking compared to the other girls Edited December 4, 2023 by Last Boy on Earth
PopKills Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 (edited) Katy had the bigger fanbase. Rihanna was always the biggest GP darling though. Edited December 5, 2023 by PopKills
