I'm a Rih stan and she doesn't have a big fan base

The other's have even less of a fan base

Katy. Hence higher first week sales and Roar going platinum in sales in 2-3 weeks.

Rihanna despite her constant massive hits had pretty terrible album and single debuts.

The truth is Katy for both as a navy. Katy popularity at her peak overshadows Rihanna and Dua.

Rihanna has a big fanbase, they're just not very interested in her music so her albums don't perform well. She is kinda like Selena.

Rihanna the biggest base, Katy had the GP.

I don’t really know TBH.  They seemed pretty equal back when they made music.

I feel like Katy was very GP dependent. Her singles were huge, but her opening weeks weren't that impressive in comparison to some of her peers. It feels like she was extremely radio dependent.

i may have to double check but didn’t Prism’s tour numbers obliterate any tour by the other two? that and the higher first week sales would make me assume that the KatyCats were the strongest force of the three, at least in those days. the GP has and will always be most supportive of Rihanna though.

Katy had a much bigger fan base at some point. I've never met a Rihanna fan in real life, I've met people that said they liked her, but never people with her poster on the wall or some scheisse like this. Everyone likes Rihanna, they just don't go hard hard for her.

Yet she doesn't have an album that sold as much as GGGB did? That doesn't make sense

The only Katy album that had better debuts than Rih albums (in the U.S.) was Prism. Rih easily outsold her debuts worldwide and doesn't have the kind of lows Katy has. I mean even Music of The Sun debuted with more units than Smile :deadbanana4:

From my perspective and as I live in LatAm I can say Katy’s fanbase felt hugeee here

we always got above Rih in the voting thingies and trending Katy-related stuff

The answer is Katy for both.

But to answer the question, Rih doesn't really have a fanbase in the sense that Bey or Gaga or Taylor do. People who will die by their fave basically. In that regard I think Katy had such a fanbase at some point, especially during the Prism era post Teenage Dream's success. That the fanbase somehow gave her more success than Rih is an absolute lie. Rihanna overall had bigger commercial success despite not having such a blindly dedicated fanbase. I don't think Dua has it either.

Biggest album debut

Katy - 286k

Rihanna - 238k

Dua - 66k (so far)

Biggest tour

Katy - 204M

Rihanna - 140M

Dua - 101M

Katy >> Rihanna >>> Dua

The question was peak.

So are you implying that Riri had an era as prolific as Teenage Dream, that managed to score 5 consecutive #1 singles and had her image was plastered worldwide. Teenage Dream is a peak that only one other person has, Michael Jackson. While I love my Bajan sister, Riri's peaks are not as high as Teenage Dream. On the topic of album sales, single sales had more power during that era sweetheart.

GGGB was released in a much better sales environment. Teenage Dream performed better as an album overall.

Katy's fanbase at peak was huge. We were debuting with huge weeks and fighting against Monsters, OneDirectioners and Belibers at awards and polls :deadbanana2:

Biggest - Rih, and this isn't even comparable; lets be serious for a minute, if Rihanna decided to drop a SPECK of a single this very minute, her fan base would run and stream like its the end of time (me included). NOBODY could have topped Rih during her prime.

GP Support - This is very hard, but it'll have 2 be Dua. The love and support she got during Future Nostalgia was unhinged and unmatched (and a little psychotic). :}
