Swifties are divided over the silence of Taylor/Taylor Nation about the late Swiftie

That's between Taylor and the family. You're WAY too invested w/ celebrity culture if you're still checking in to see an update on something that has nothing to do with you. Nada. Zip.

I didn't say anything offensive about Taylor or her team. I just wanted to get some updates on this issue. It would seem you're pretty defensive based on your response. Taylor doesn't care about you, doesn't know you even exist so I don't get why you get so rilled up over a simple question.

Lol what? You're the one who is looking for an "update" on something that doesn't involve you. Let the girl rest in peace.

Plenty of people are interested in this topic, whether you like it or not. It would seem you're also concerned since you take time to enter this thread and answer so negatively.

She literally posted something sending her condolences shortly after she was aware of the incident.

And dedicated a song to her. People are just using this girls death to justify their hate boner for Taylor and it's weird

Tbh I found it kinda fishy that the media when hush hush about time and even the swifties moved from the topic like it was a fan that died at the show! A instagram story is just meh.

In 2008 at the Sticky & Sweet show in Marseille, 2 workers died while mounting the stage, Madonna paid the funeral costs, went to the funeral and at the show spoke about what happened and dedicated a song to them while crying, and they weren’t fans just there to put up the stage…

I think it would be easier for you to simply state: " I want no longer people to talk about this because Taylor's image and brand might be affected". Because that's what really worries you. Nothing else. It's see-through. See, I know this is not Taylor's fault, she could not prevent it and there was not so much she could to avoid this situation. However, what she could do is reaching out to the family and support them financially. That's the Taylor we know for years. It's surprising to all of us. I just wanted to get some updates because I know she will do it,we just don't know when ( I mean, she should :rip: )

You're full of assumptions today.

No, I'm embarrassed that fans and non-fans keep this media circus going. I've reflected quite a bit on this, and I feel for the family and the girl who are now in the middle of stan wars. If this were me or my family member, I'd be embarrassed by both sides honestly. Let the family heal. Enough of the sideshow.

you are criticizing someone for making assumptions, while making assumptions

These occurrences are always so sad and tragic. I'm sad for everyone involved just as I was with the Travis' thing.

This feels very out of character for Taylor, a woman who would reach out to a fan and give them money because they're broke, so I just can't pass judgment here.

I don’t know what all that happened but RIP to Ana and all my condolences to her family.

some truly vile posts in this thread trying to shift blame to the victim. Celebrity worship culture has truly melted too many brains to count.

I literally said "If this were me" and "I'd be" and "I've reflected" and "I'm embarrassed". You don't agree with me, I get it, but don't make up lies.

And if she said her name or plastered her face all over the big screen she would have been accused of her using Ana for PR. Just admit that she could never win with OTH and anything she had done would have been used to criticize her

well yeah no matter what you do people will always judge

but the overall response from the geepee would have been way different had she dedicated the song to ana and actually offered her family some assistance

people complaining about "media circus"
If there's one thing worth of a little bit of media circus is the DEATH of a fan and signs that an artist is not what we expect from them, and not only that, but an artist/team who have been doing everything to cover the case outside of Brazil, as it never happened. I've seen a lot more scandal for a lot less than this when it comes to other artists. Janet, Britney, Ashlee Simpson, and I could go on and on w/ cases that didn't involve death, and the media simply distroyed the artist.

I don't want Taylor to be distroyed, I don't even want to "stop being a fan of her music". But her omission on all this is everything I didn't expect of her, and YES we should be talking about it. It's even healty to talk about it and very problematic not to.

Grow tf up

This is the same woman that wrote and performed Ronan. I don’t think she’s some heartless PR machine with no empathy for her fans. I just think the way her team handled this so far has been suboptimal and hopefully it serves as a lesson moving forward.

This is sad and what happens when you make yourself the center of attention in every thing you do. People EXPECT you to remain just as "fast" and "efficient" when it comes to helping others like she does her career.

kinda odd she hasn't donated anything when she's always first to do it in the past.

So looks like it hasn’t been reported in this particular thread, yet, but in the other thread about this, the latest update from about a day ago is that there’s an open police investigation into T4F over this incident. Do with that information what you will, draw your own conclusions.
