PageSix removed the portion of the article where they claimed their source told that Taylor’s team reached out to the family.

Embarrassing for them. Internet ran with the truth thank god. Moreover in completely bad taste to add the death as a footnote for Taylor and Travis’ relationship. I really hope that came from editors exploiting the situation for clicks and not Team Swift (and that the order to take it down came from them).

Some of you really doing too much for a woman who apparently won't even say your name if you die trying to see her.

Some of you truly showing your true colors by breaking your heels entering this thread to make comments while just ignore the other thread.

The media really turned this into a mess.

None of my business and has no effect on my fandom.

That was the weird thing to me. My dad was there and he had the greatest time and he has pictures in the christ statue.  :giraffe:

Looks like Criminality has rised worldwide since the pandemic.  Im from Bogota Colombia and the city got so so dangerous after the pandemic
Probably the high inflation and bad economy in the moment all over the planet.

Or maybe That arrival of Taylor was cursed. Something strange happened. Everything just went wrong :rip: so many artists have toured Brazil and things went great for them :gaycat3:

Can you just shut up already? Stop using people's deaths to sensationalize the situation for stan wars. It's so, so grossed.

You mean like the OTHs who were nowhere to be found in the original thread, but popped out like dickheads for this?
And stop twisting people words out of contexts, we are not in middle school anymore.

Well no, but maybe not standing in line for 8 hours to get a better spot crammed towards the front in general admission would have helped.

there are tens of thousands of people there. everyone had to wait outside at some point. and it was even hotter inside. so there's not really a way any fan could "stay cool" on their own, especially if outside water was banned by the venue. blaming the girl for the venue shutting the vents inside and making it over 140 degrees is not the move.

I was torn about this since it wasn't Taylor's fault.

But her silence speaks volumes. It was a fan of hers who died, at her concert.

Twisting my words

I care a lot about someone dying so young

I care not for what Taylor has or has not done in the situation.

Two very separate things.

I'm from there. Its reality, all these big events are dangerous you have a 20% chance of something happening at all times you need to be alert. The last 10 years crime has gone up and up

the world knows that Rio is violent, It's very normal for people of another Brazilian State advice u to 'double ur attention' when u're in Rio, for example. Cuz it's more dangerous than where they live (another brazil state/city)

But those % are VERY exaggerated. VERY.

20% of something happening with u? what is this?

66k attendence per show, 3 shows, 200k total. 1 death of a violent crime.

20%? i know u're not talking only about deaths but even so, for sure not 40k people were robbed  lol. not even anything remotely close to it. at all.

and 1 death is terrible! Rio is violent, no denying of that!!! but u know what i mean here.

let's not exaggerate what already is bad.

This is good news. I truly hope that T4F is held responsible for the conditions that have been reported about the Rio dates and I hope that Taylor and her team immediately cooperate with and aid the investigation.

I'm making that number up but it's probably 50% if you don't pay attention

You saw the videos of the people hiding at McDonald's while the police were chasing them out with guns...

That is something traumatic to happen to someone as well.

You can still get mugged or robbed at gunpoint. or kidnapped...

there's no way you're from Rio and is typing this at the same time.

do u stay in ur house everyday 24/7? cuz...

this is such an exaggeration. i have traveled to Rio at the very least 15 times, probably more (my city/state is 7hrs driving / 40min fight) and nothing ever happened with me

i went to rock in rio 3 times, maroon 5 concert, the weeknd, Selena concert when i was a little kid in 2012 imo

i went to CARNIVAL, i went to just stay at the beach, i went to go for nightclubs with my friends cuz i was tired of my city lmao i've already went there for countless reasons...

of course i pay attention, of course i know Rio is dangerous. of course i know i can be considered lucky, of course i know a lot of things.

but if i'm lucky so are others millions of people that are in Rio everyday and nothing happens with them.

what you're saying doesn't make sense. it's not like this.

this is a forum full of people from another countries and you're just typing **** that aren't true.

That Burger King video ended up just being just a guy doing an app order pickup for delivery. They called the police and all, but it was basically people panicking. It was more people being on edge and racist.

A friend of mine that went to the concert complained a lot about the metal plaques on the floor. THEY EMANATED HEAT AND BURNED PEOPLE

I don't think she needs to address it publicly, however she should definitely contact the family and offer to pay for the funeral, because although she doesn't have anything to do with it directly, it happened at her show which was badly organized and didn't provide proper support and conditions for fans that attended. I guess there's a reason why you need to be careful with picking the tour organizers.

I'm kind of shocked she hasn't reached out to them, she's usually one that knows the right thing to do. If we want to be cynical even one that doesn't care would do something to save their face so it's pretty shocking she hasn't - and even more shocking that magazines are reporting lies that are being debunked by Ana's family, it's gotten kind of messy to be honest, everything is so sad.
