Swifties are divided over the silence of Taylor/Taylor Nation about the late Swiftie

I think taylor is staying silent cause she's afraid not only of that lawsuit. She's afraid of the multiple lawsuits she could have from the fans faiting :giraffe:
It could be millions and millions of dollars and legal problems for years and years

In that travis scott concert more than 4,900 alleged victims have filed legal claims against Live Nation :giraffe:

Wait for toxicology report to see what really happened and let the grown ups handle this. No one fully knows what’s going on behind the scenes except the people. Her fans need to chill out. She shouldn’t return to Brazil ever again though. Almost every day seems to be cursed.

Agreed

I keep saying that comorbidities need to be ruled out. She could have had an underlying illness that caused this in relation to the heat.

Taylor and her team are very litigious and paying for funeral expenses could be seen as an admission of guilt and make her case difficult in a lawsuit. They may be trying to work out non-disclosure agreements in exchange for funeral expenses.

Madonna had crew die while setting her stage back in the day.  No report or backlash about her not giving money for the funeral costs.

That’s a workman’s comp issue, which is different from a fan dying.

Let this be a wakeup call to all Taylor Swift fans: you are nothing more than sacks of flesh that pad her wallet in her eyes. You are not her friend, you are her golden goose. So ease off the parasocial obsession and find some hobbies/friends outside of the Swiftie fandom. I know you can, I believe in you!

This is more parasocial than anything the swifties have done. The idea that crass losers would use someone’s death as an attempt at an unfunny jab is fairly vile

Agreed. Literally nobody thinks like that. Plus, this person has 4.5k posts on a pop music forum.... like what? ATRLers are getting dumber by the day.

Yes she did but there was no dragging her for not paying for things.

As far as we know, their families didn’t ask for help.

the whole point of the post was how are you blaming Taylor when Madonna, who you brought up unprovoked, had 2 crew members die at her show.

people died in both situations but i's evident you have a bias against Taylor. Maybe you should remember that people have a freedom of choice. as in those fans went to the shower knowing about severe weather conditions and NO ONE was prepared for what happened. quit making this a blame game because of your dislike for Taylor. a life was lost and that's the real issue here. not whose fault it is or what could've been done.

They did not die at Madonna's show or during the concert. They were constructing the stage. These were things that were not foreseeable or predicted. This is not even remotely the same situation.

I wouldnt mind less fans and people dropping her. I miss Taylor from the lover era before the frenzy and the circus of today :gaycat2:

It's a tricky one because on one hand I think we should wait for the full information but then I also think Swifties should stop accusing everyone of "stan wars" just because they don't like that people might have legit criticisms of the way this has been handled.

Either way, very sad situation all around and my heart goes out to the victim's family.

You mean at the same time they were dealing with the logistics of rescheduling a show, getting her cars back from the police, deploying ambulances/police/extra staff to the venue, and delivering water to the show in time? It's only been 2 days. All that in mind, she should still reach out and cover the funeral costs. It would be inexcusable not to.

There’s people that are dying (quite literally) but her cars!

The problem is that on one hand you have members that are just foaming at the mouth of a Taylor Swift backlash and are using this situation to take a dig at her, and on the other hand the fans that completely refuse to admit that Taylor and her team can potentially be in the wrong.

Unless we actually get to know more, I don't understand how anyone can form an honest opinion other than maybe Taylor ****** up, maybe she didn't.

Everything think they know everything

No one looks at what actually matters. If money was the only problem, Taylor would have given already and we wouldn't know.

For people who don't remember Taylor is rhe one that led to gofundme increasing the limit. She donates to her fan always.

There are many legality here.

T4F didn't even want to postpone the concert.

A billionaire leading a gofundme. Miss me with that.

Are you confused about what they meant?

She didn’t open and host a GoFundMe. She donated so much to a leukemia patient that the platform adjusted the upper limit on individual donations.

Well they also tried to say corporations are generous for offering settlements...so, in the words of Xtina, I'm not sure if it's a twink or a lawyer.

Haha.  Very fair.

Who said she didn't?

She visited the family and went to the funeral, so I assume she paid the bill. She would never reveal she paid for it in order to receive a pat on the back from others. It's classless and in bad taste.

I'm confused, how is it Taylor's fault someone dies from a heat stroke? If anything the concert venue/Brazil is to blame for their policies on not allowing water bottles in the venue.

She'll say something when and if this gets more media coverage and puts her image at risk :coffee2: Let's not forget, she's an self-serving white feminist

The gross thing is it’s the same people that attack her for everything and call her fans nazi members but all of a sudden they care about them, please. It’s understandable for people to be mad that where there not some losers using it for stan drags which is obvious it’s what some are doing with the jokes and laughing emojis.

It’s wild to think Taylor has given money and houses to fans but wouldn’t pay for this, we don’t know what’s going on at all.

people I became friends with outside the forum know I’m in law school but I’m not going to run around pretending to be a lawyer (which some have never brought up till now) just so I can talk **** about a case I don’t know. The energy some have to be disgusting over an awful situation amazes me,

She’s not obligated to say anything to us, because we’re not that girl’s family nor is it our business. She said her original statement and dedicated a performance to her. She’s probably handling this privately with her family, because, that’s a thing people can do. not everything needs to be done for your entertainment because you love a spectacle and deducing a woman’s death to stan drama.

wanting an update is one thing, but thinking you’re ENTITLED to information that a family probably doesn’t want public, about a woman you probably don’t even care about so you can dunk on another woman you don’t even know is what’s really gross, nasty and insensitive. What’s even crazy is if Taylor did give you an update every two seconds you would scream she’s being performative. you don’t know what’s going on, so stop pretending that you do or that you can make the situation less complex than what it is.

That being said, if she chooses to speak out: great. if she doesn’t: good. I just hope that they can finally get her body and properly lay her to rest and that concert culture/etiquette/rules or whatever the **** gets reevaluated and changed. so many deaths could’ve been preventable had venues valued lives over a ******* dollar.

This whole thing is very xenophobic.

RIP to the victim.

I just love when ATRL clings to a word and drags the crap out of it over and over for days just spewing it out like it means nothing. With the way Xenophobic is being used you would think some barely learned what it meant

It appears the investigation of the death is focused on T4F and not Taylor at this point.
