And he silences Cassie yet again. And will continue to do so with past and future victims. I'm glad Cassie still came forward, which was an incredibly brave (and even dangerous) move to make. But I wish she didn't accept this second settlement offer. I would have strongly urged her not to if I were her lawyer. I do think the damage is already done because this shed a really dark light on Diddy and just confirmed with most of us already knew about him and have been saying for decades.

This is what I meant when I said feel like Cassie accomplished what she wanted to accomplish, Diddy is done, and the truth is (finally) out there about him.

Not sure why @Horizon Flame gave my post a thumbs down but whatever.

He is so guilty. :skull: I bet he gave way more than she was asking for initially. I do see why she decided this route, though - many victims do not want to have to relive their trauma in a multi-day trial where they are being attacked and having to see the evidence that revisits some of the worst days of their lives. I hope she can find peace and heal.

Welp. I guess that's the end of it ,shame because so many victims could've been helped but now it'll just be passed on like it never happened.

Definitely not. This story will be indelible within pop culture and within the hip-hop community. Diddy has essentially been well known to be a shady, sinister character for decades. Again, Cassie's case against him confirmed with all of us have been saying for years and just solidifies what others in the industry have either openly said or hinted at. And this could potentially open the floodgate because it may start with Cassie but it won't end with her. I think others will eventually come forward with their own claims of abuse at the hands of Diddy. Both women and men.

He is definitely guilty and has some crazy stuff on her neck… I don’t blame her for settling anyways. He is a monster that gets away with everything, clearly. At lesst now she got some serious money i hope.

I am sure this isn’t the end of this for him. More victims will come out. There’s too much fire. He needs to start getting some liquidity because those lawsuits are coming.

She probably got the $30M she was asking for. Diddy's net worth is 900M. That's nothing to him

No shade but this would not be good legal advice :rip: Like we can debate whether she should have moved forward with the lawsuit for larger justice/accountability reasons, but purely from the perspective of her own best interests (which is what her lawyer is supposed to look out for), taking a generous or even reasonable settlement offer this early is absolutely the better choice than dragging out YEARS of contentious litigation. Abuse claims of this nature are very difficult to win on, even with the lower burden of proof in a civil context, so she would have had to spend a ton of money (not to mention time and significant emotional stress) with nowhere close to a guarantee of success.

Like it sucks that he can get out of this so easily just by paying her some money to go away, but unfortunately it's the way better option for her than fighting this to the very end.

I’m shocked!

This move from his side makes no sense. Settling in a day just speaks DESPERATION and huge fear of going to jail. With this settlement he is admitting he’s guilty and he’s actually encouraging others to file a lawsuit against him as well.

Agreed. Great move for Cassia. Horrible move from Diddy.

That was FAST. I do hope Cassie will be able to move forward and heal from this.

It’s also important to note that this also gives her some protection from him. It’s publicized and she’s turned the court of public opinion. People haven’t generally cared about her since 2006 and now they are invested again and that’s exactly what she needs when someone with influence is trying to take her down.

She already won. Getting a settlement within one day of filing when the other side hasn’t even taken the time to read the full evidence yet but they still know they can’t refute what you’re saying so they have to meet your demands is a MASSIVE win. If Cassie were to get a “guilty” verdict in court, that legal battle would take at least two years.

She was prolly threatened so I don’t blame her for settling, her life must’ve been in danger.

He’s still a ******* evil moron though and I hope his ass gets exposed by others.

He basically admitted all her claims were true (which we knew). Yet in this "justice system" he gets to walk free.

My thoughts exactly. He wants this brushed under the rug as soon as possible. I fear that anyone who continues to align the selves with with Diddy will be eternally scum.
