I’ve decided the thread is too positive now and I foresee a horrible Spotify update tomorrow, if I’m wrong then we all win

Apple Music US: #199(-15)

We really don't give a **** about that fad music service where the highest streamed song worldwide on it doesn't even reach 1B

I mean a few hours ago it was 200 on AM so that’s at least an increase of one position

In the US it is about as big as Spotify.

People still giving so much thought about a #1. Like who cares about Jack Harlow, in three weeks no one will care just like they didn't care when he had that last song he sampled Fergie

Dua will remain a strong celebrity persona, loved by multiple fields, in tv, radio, fashion, etc. and that's what matters and will allow her to continue an output of excellent pop music

Actually Spotify has been doing better in recent times than AM in the US subscriber wise; it has 10m+ users more than AM

And you also forget to add that Apple Music in the US is way more catered towards hip-hop and R&B. I mean there's not a single pop song in the top 10 aside from Taylor and that's because she's the biggest artist in America

Yes but it doesn't change the fact that AM still represents a very significant portion of US streams.

Ofc I wasn’t denying that but the AM impact isn’t as sizeable anymore and I’m guessing that Spotify will only grow more and more compared to AM

Big pop songs still do well on AM even if not as good Spotify. Flowers went #1 there for example. Dua Lipa difference in terms of Spotify/AM streams is actually an anomaly even for pop artists. The only other act I can think who perform similarly is BTS.

For example, Vampire is #29 on Spotify while #51 on AM while Houdini is #23 on Spotify and barely clinging to AM top 200.

Taking flowers as an example is a little odd considering it’s easily the biggest song of the year and in the US will finish only behind Morgan Wallen on the year end. Of course there are pop songs that do well, but it’s much harder for pop songs to thrive on AM, and some exceptions along the way won’t negate that fact

This also doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be disappointed with its current AM placement lol, but it is what it is at the end of the day and she’s been doing decently on the other platforms

Flowers is literally one of the best biggest pop songs in recent times, that's a weird comparison. It's the exception, not the norm

Flowers was #1 on Apple Music US for like 35 days in a row tho but atrl keeps claiming it was fraudulent while it was #1 on every platform 🤡 It doesn't matter what genre song is, if it's a hit - it is doing good on AM and proving how organic the song's success is

Flowers is actually not that big in terms of streams in the US (it's smaller than KB or Anti Hero for example but beat them in the H100 thanks to radio)

Anyway you can look at other pop songs like Vampire which is #29 on Spotify and #51 on AM while Houdini is #23 on Spotify and barely clinging to AM top 200.

The fact ya keep arguing with this person instead of just reporting  them and getting them threadbanned especially when they just trolled a Jack Harlow based thread where no one was talking about Houdini....

And again I see a clear divide in which the pop song does better on Spotify than AM.

or take Greedy; #7 on US Spotify, massively viral and it’s only 49 on AM

also again flowers is massive, and so is KB and AH. Everything simply points to the fact that AM is a lot tougher for pop acts and with Houdini not being viral and with the US being Dua’s toughest markets; these results are not some massive shock

"Thanks to radio" while BOTH anti-hero and kill bill had over 100 million audience on radio*** for MONTHS and flowers was dropped from radio 4 months ago and having decrease everyday since then 🤡 Flowers was unmatched thanks to to the crazy sales. And it spent 13 weeks at #1 on Billboard 200 global where radio doesn't count, just purely thanks to crazy sales and streams

If you look at the breakdown of their H100 points, you would see that KB and AH have higher total streams. Flowers is much bigger outside the US of course though.

Dhjdjd i honestly thought it was just someone giving tough love to her but this :deadbanana: lemme stop indeed, the point was already lost when the explanations were based on what some of the biggest hits ever have done on AM and then to instantly expect the same from a non American artist nnn

nnnnnn but really though :ahh: the way that user accused Dua of money laundering as well, I wouldn't be surprised if they started the Albanian Mafia Popstars rumors
