How can she possibly lose USA streams on a Monday update? Is American taste really THAT bad or do they actually hate her sm? I’m sorry y’all, it’s the streaming era and it shouldn’t take months of radio play for room temperature-IQ Americans to catch on to the constant bops dua has to offer. It’s so annoying because if the USA supported her, #1 on Spotify Global would’ve been hers, FN would’ve had 2 #1 singles, BMH would’ve been a top 10 hit, and the list goes on. You mean to tell me she dropped one of the biggest pop albums arguable of the entire century and Americans are still not moving when she breathes??? They don’t deserve her at all.

I mean, you could say this about any Dua song minus Levitating :rip: It will catch on

Yeah true but Houdini is a Physical type of song that has more of a European sound

As long as this becomes massive in the rest of the world , i dont give a F about the tasteless US

USA is not pop though ( unless it comes from Taylor )

Daily reminder that Houdini is a great song regardless of its chart performance in the US.

For those comparing her to Gaga, she's on her 3rd era, BTW is the competition instead of Artpop:rip: And Houdini will be lucky to be as big as Applause since the latter debuted at #6 and stayed in top 10 for nearly 4 months:rip: She's just still kinda faceless in the US, it is what it is.

We know very well that this type of song is practically a no go for the US

So for me even this numbers she is pulling in the US are quite impressive

Now if the US radio somehow decides to support Houdini ....

Its not about support, its about money. If recording company pays them, they will play it, thats all

Todays update was quite nice :clap3:

The US update is sadly pretty bad, but some nice holds in Europe, cute gains in LatAM and an overall solid rebound in numbers WW. Mondays are always nice to new releases so let’s hope the rebound somewhat holds tomorrow

Actually with the US loss, the WW rebound in streams is kinda even more impressive. Def an above average Monday rebound imo

If this smashes everywhere else I’m sure US will somewhat catch up some months later. Which for WW longevity won’t be too bad so let’s hope cause this clearly ain’t gonna be instant in USA

Americans aren’t low-IQ because they aren’t clamoring to stream a song from a European artist with minimal celebrity presence here.

There’s no recently successful song in the US that sounds like Houdini.

Global smash :clap3:

It's important for Dua to keep feeding the market that supports her rather than pulling Anastacia - Heavy Rotation era by chasing US sounds over sounds that made you popular elsewhere. US will catch on, but if they don't, Dua can be more than happy having Robbie Williams/Kylie Minogue international A-list success

I would also like to highlight that population of US is just 4,3% of world population

Speaking of, I kinda don't get why we let the myth of Dua never having an instant hit live through the years?

This was DSN on first Monday:
WW: #5 (+3) 3,929,280
UK: #2 (=) 427,818
US: #7 (+4) 930,709

that song was a hit right off the bat

The US is hostage to Taylor and TikTok, the worst plagues of the decade...

Because these simple minded gheys only know/care about the Hot100 and it took months to properly take off there

I think Houdini will be a New Rules / DTN sized hit in the US. So a #5-#6 peak and like 10 weeks in the top 10.

It will be a proper smash in Europe/LatAm/Oceania though:clap3:

“Room-temperature IQ” while talking exactly like them :deadbanana: obsessive behavior

Watch Houdini start gaining momentum in the US after it peaked worldwide :skull:

As probably the least charts-obsessed person on here, it's so amusing watching the meltdowns in this thread  :toofunny2:
