The 80s synth pop trend is tired now. We need something fresh.

What for example?

the song keeps getting better and better... she did that.

also lackluster promo before the song dropped. I found out friends of mine who like/love listening to dua didn't know she had a new song out :deadbanana2:

The type of pop bangers popular in Albania, it's time she explores her heritage more

Whatever Miss Tate is serving right now albeit a Timbaland rehash sounds fresh and is clearly resonating with the GP. Dua should try it out some time

Dance the night is very good, people were just annoying cause it was similar to FN material but that doesn't mean it's bad.

Houdini is just weak and boring, I hope Kevin Parker didn't touch any other song.

We need her to book a performance on New Year's Rockin' Eve. I feel like the song will do just ok until Christmas, but then they should start pushing it big time around NYE. It's a perfect party banger.

The way this is slowly turning into a “Houdini. What Went Wrong?” thread :rip:

It’s been three days…

Slowly?

Un-#11 it, gays :johnald:

I hope we get a few Ian and Koz songs, though; I hope Ian's sessions weren't too long ago to have been forgotten, and/or Koz's ties weren't cut with leaving Tap?

It’s been 3 days, everybody needs to relax. Cheques can take up to 2 business day to be cashed.

When she gives us her version of this masterpiece

This thread  the haters are really right, if she flops y’all are going to drop her like a rock. Houdini is a good song, and is probably going to be a hit, not a DSN - Levitating kind of hit but more like Break My Heart or maybe Dance the Night and that’s ok.

Good for the people that are going to drop her! That just makes it more easier for me to get front row seats to ha tour!

I knew the slightest decrease would bring out the weirdest takes in here.:deadbanana2:

Thank goodness she doesn't listen to yall. :suburban:

I kinda hope she does something like DSN Live in LA for Houdini. In one of the recent interview she talked about her looking more at the live element when recording this album. I want to see that coming to fruitition before an actual tour

Wayyyyyy too early to tell. When DSN came out we had no idea for the first 3 months that it would overtake NR and One Kiss.

The same was true for Dance the Night too. It took ages for it to take off properly.

The DSN video is an atrocity. They should have just released a 3 minute video of her gyrating in a chair with beauty shots like the teaser video. :thing: And her hair looks tragic :thing:

the girls always wanting a “storyline”, well sweaty there’s your storyline, some tacky cheap mess. :thing:

“Houdini” cannot relate, a simple slay.

SPILL

The fact that I only watched that horrible video like 3 times. She was lucky that the song was a monster hit in Asia and Latin America because the video doesn't deserve those views.

You all are literally insane. Please name a time where Dua's first week of a new song was the most important week for it? NEVER. Stop complaining and worrying so much. Funny how y'all were obsessing over the leak, but now that the official numbers are out, y'all want to bandwagon already. Seriously?
