Most of them get their success because of one demographic streaming their music but many many people around the world probably never heard of them. I feel like it's become impossible to reach MJ's, Britney's and Madonna's level of fame now. I do think Lady Gaga had a high peak in fame when she debuted but not as high as the three of them. Britney certainly never did, since her fame level never lasted for decades like the other two, but Madonna's fame rivaled Michael's in the '80s and you know it.
