The Woman in Me Megathread | Out now | Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt bid for adaptation

Message added by Ryan,

Do NOT make negative comments about Britney using her then-constitutional right to have an abortion. She and Justin mutually agreed to the decision.

Kinda bummed that Marggot couldn't secure the rights to the book :noparty: you can tell by her response she was after it but maybe lost the deal. And it makes perfect sense Britney is close to Reece and ADORES Brad. Still though either would make a stellar movie out of it...no doubt.

Reece is extremely talented and could easily play Conservatorship Britney. An academy award winner and talented woman like her playing THAT horrible era of Britney? Oscar nom in the making.

Something tells me Brad could snatch the tights in the end though.

I could see it, physically speaking, Millie seems like the best option to play young Britney, now that's not to say that the have to replicate exactly her looks, make up can help. IMO from what I've seen from Millie she's a good actress, and Mia is outstanding.

As for older Britney, maybe Katherine Heighl?

MBB would be great but idk  if she would say yes after Britney’s IG post.

I don’t believe blind items but if she doesn’t want it, she should just deny the rumors on insta. That’s it.

I personally wouldn't watch a docu-series. I feel like it's a bit pointless in this scenario. Her entire life and story has already been shown on screen via cameras :skull:

A For The Record 2.0 documentary would be much better.

If I get the info from the articles right, producers want to make both movie and doc series.

A doc like Beckham and Robbie Williams would be perfect imo. 6 hours of Britney, though she could easily to do 10 eps with her career. Hopefully she has the confidence to do it in the future.

I guess it’s a no for documentary format.

I read it as intent.

If the intent is not to offend...meaning instead of making it out her trauma and minimally about her career how about a platform where her career is at the forefront and the low moment is just reflected as that a low moment (for both 07 and the conservatorship).

If she were ever to approve of anything in the future, I think it'll talk about her career and the impact, influence, and excellence with minimal discussion about the bad moments they've already exploited.

Now it did help people have sympathy for her but just as quickly people turned on her which means they really didn't get the point of FREEBRITNEy to begin with.

I think it's interesting that there was a rumor about Cade and Britney getting into an explosive argument about her career and they are together now in California.

Me wonders if Cade is trying to push a documentary on her and she will only agree if the intent is good and focused on the right thing.

Let's put it another way...should we receive anymore documentaries on her trials and tribulations....I think it'll become too redundant. in the future, Britney needs to have content showcase the great stuff upfront and pepper in the bad moments to show how she kept coming back from the brink to win.

Most of the GP got the message with the bad moments being exploited again so I hope they don't choose to  focus heavily. on it anymore going forward.

I personally think both movie and the documentary should be made in the near future, while she is still alive, so she could get creative control of the narrative.

as well as a broadway play.

I think it should be done and in a few years she'll put out B10.

then later down the road they can make another one but I think Cade will make sure this is done correctly even if he has to put in work to keep pressing the issue with Britney.

Britney needs to control the narrative since she takes umbrage to others doing it without her consent.
