The Woman in Me Megathread | Out now | Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt bid for adaptation

Message added by Ryan,

Do NOT make negative comments about Britney using her then-constitutional right to have an abortion. She and Justin mutually agreed to the decision.

Honestly I've been shady towards Britney on ATRL for the longest time, but I decided to listen to the audiobook (Michelle William's did phenomenal by the way) and omg I have so much respect for Britney. My heart broke for her multiple times throughout the book and her father is utterly disgusting for what he did and how he used her.

When (if) she is ready, she needs to make a grand return to music and triumph. I'm rooting for her!

We love growth :heart2:

I actually really liked how Britney
described working with Max. he really listened what she had to say and take into account what she really wanted.

it’s sweet how he didn’t give BOMT to five cause he have already promised it to her:clap3:

The Woman In Me sold 81,688 physical copies in the US in its third week (down from 132,000 the previous week)

This is from Publisher's Weekly who gets numbers from BookScan (75-80% of retailers)

I'd estimate her US total, including all versions(e-book and audiobook) is over 1,600,000 so far.

3rd best selling book overall this week (only behind Rebecca Yarros, who has extremely popular fiction novels)

Barbra sold 55,322 this week

Margot Robbie didn’t bid for it. Reece Witherspoon is. Margot Robbie showed some interest. Reece and Brad are the ones who are after it.

If there indeed going for the Movie route, I hope RW won’t play current Britney.

i can't believe that awful book opened with almost 600k phyical copies. and a rerelease of the first book (which came out this year) almost got a quarter mil, though that one's more tolerable. the colleen hoover of 'fantasy.'

i wonder if britney's book will do well during the holiday season as a present.

IF the rumors are true, RW should take it but her projects weren’t as successful as BP ones.

she won't, Reese knows she isn't suited much for serious roles she knows her audience well.

I saw Mia Goth’s face in a person’s blouse the other day and I just knew she could pull off Britney :jonny4:

Kinda bummed that Marggot couldn't secure the rights to the book :noparty: you can tell by her response she was after it but maybe lost the deal. And it makes perfect sense Britney is close to Reece and ADORES Brad. Still though either would make a stellar movie out of it...no doubt.

Reece is extremely talented and could easily play Conservatorship Britney. An academy award winner and talented woman like her playing THAT horrible era of Britney? Oscar nom in the making.

Something tells me Brad could snatch the tights in the end though.

I could see it, physically speaking, Millie seems like the best option to play young Britney, now that's not to say that the have to replicate exactly her looks, make up can help. IMO from what I've seen from Millie she's a good actress, and Mia is outstanding.

As for older Britney, maybe Katherine Heighl?

Milli could exceptionally pull off BOMTney and Oopsney. She has that perfectly innocent yet powerful attitude, If you watch Stranger things season 1 you'd understand what im saying. I mean even Britney era is plausible if they want to stick to less actresses.

Mia is also yet another excellent choice for Britney era, In the Zone up to GH Britney. I can also picture Kathrine playing a very pregnant and angry Britney all the way to Conservatorship Britney, bored and anxious during interviews.

The possibilities are endless. I was really rooting for Margot though. I just have lots of faith in her when it comes to portraying women whom are victims of media attention. I wanted her to play In the zone Britney so bad too :frown:

Anyone knows what Reece has produced?
