The Woman in Me Megathread | Out now | Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt bid for adaptation

Message added by Ryan,

Do NOT make negative comments about Britney using her then-constitutional right to have an abortion. She and Justin mutually agreed to the decision.

That’s AMAZING

imagine if she had an album attached to this! She could’ve been doing numbers like she did in the early 2000s

400k already sold, even if very frontloaded maybe It's a huge number.

Thank you to Britney’s second fan base for keeping us updated on her book sales!

OT: 400k in one day is HUGE! I wonder how much the OP’s fave would sell in a day if she released a memoir.

She would probably upload it to Wattpad for free.

OP: queen she's coming for that Nobel prize :clap3:

Stephen Kingney did that. :clap3:

TMZ is obviously going to lowball the sales numbers with their 20 year bias

Jessica Simpson did that and made zero noise with it while her book was also a best seller.

That’s absolutely massive :clap3:

She would probably sell the same amount of albums first week with a proper comeback and personal music

People are hungry for her new music :clap3:

thats what they said about her song with william :rip:

She did?

I see her book was released in 2020 and she hasn't had an album since 2010

I neeed the publisher to say something because all these numbers are confusing as hell.

Either way, it's a smash. :clap3:

So I read about the Jessica Simpson book (2020):

Quote

"..it had the most sales for a book by a female celebrity in the history of BookScan."

-She also made - No. 1 New York Times Bestseller for two weeks

-Her debut sales were: 59k

The memoir sold more than 500,000 copies in its first 14 weeks.

It was seen as a huge success and even got adapted into a TV series.

That gives an idea of how successful Britney's book gets even 400k first day

I haven't listened to the audiobook yet (I seem to be in the minority that prefers actually reading it most of the time), but I definitely will be listening at some point as it seems that Michelle did a wonderful job.

Someone really said 400K in a day is cute numbers :rip:

This is great

But the Army needs to stop saying that an album would pull this. numbers. You're setting her up. Even if she does 200k with an album which is a great number for her she would look bad in comparison. Just stop

Michelle is fantastic, to the point I'm okay with Britney not even reading it herself.  She's that good.

OT:  I just finished the audiobook -- my hardcopy just arrived -- and her strength is truly amazing.  I'm wishing her nothing but the best, always.

3 At My Mother's Knee ...:and Other Low Joints O'Grady, Paul 723k
4 Dreams from My Father:A Story of Race and Inheritance Obama, President Barack  703k

6 Dear Fatty French, Dawn 645k
7 On the Edge:My Story Hammond, Richard 555k
8 That's Another Story:The Autobiography Walters, Julie 537k
9 Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid,The Bryson, Bill 522k
10 David Beckham:My Side - The Autobiography Beckham, David 517k

x

(ebooks aren't counted, but they take like 18% of all book types sold)

So if TMZ is right, she is already in the Top 20 (from 2001-2013 at least, lol) and if this source is good enough..

since I've read everywhere that memoirs usually dont continue to sell well some time after release, and some of these (bar Obama) shouldn't have any huge bump

So she contributed $9 million to the economy with 1 day of sales? Insane

I was wondering since it gave it in pounds (and now I notice lots of UK acts)

my fault.

Omg the fact she was OFFERED the role of Chicago (Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta Jones) and she says she regrets not taking that role….

Untill we get offical numbers i think Amazon best selling of 2023 is the best metric we can use. It's already 14, lets see where it goes to tomorrow!
