The Woman in Me Megathread | Out now | Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt bid for adaptation

Message added by Ryan,

Do NOT make negative comments about Britney using her then-constitutional right to have an abortion. She and Justin mutually agreed to the decision.

It’s an interesting claim for sure, but Britney sure as hell didn’t make that visual so there has to be some legitimacy to it in some way…

No you are wrong, she mentioned Out All Night but in a different context and didn't refer it as her best performance work. The thing the user was referring to is a later mention of the ABC special in chapter 38.

Chapter 17
To promote the album, I went out with an MTV camera crew in New York City to film a special called In the Zone & Out All Night. We drove all over the city to appear at three nightclubs--Show, Splash and Avalon. It was electrifying to see large groups of people dancing to the new songs. As has happened again and again in my career, my fans reminded me why I do what I do.

Chapter 38
I kept flashing back to the concert special I'd done for In the Zone. It was a remixed ABC special. I had rehearsed for a week and sung several new songs. They shot me so beautifully. I felt like a kid. Frankly, it's some of my best work. There was a Cabaret vibe to a sultry rendition of "...Baby One More Time" and then for "Everytime" I wore a pretty white dress. It was just really, really beautiful. It had felt so incredible to be at that stage of my career, free and performing my music, my way, with so much creative control.

Oops! I’m not on chapter 38 yet

Finished it all in one sitting, which wasn’t my original plan :deadbanana2:It was a pretty easy read up until she started talking about the conservatorship, then finishing it became quite difficult. Her fear of her father, and the conservatorship in general, was so visceral it was practically coming off the pages. So, so sad everything she went through.

My only complaint is that she didn’t go more in depth in regards to her career. I would’ve loved to hear her thoughts on the creation process of her albums, especially her post-conservatorship ones. But overall it’s not that big of a complaint, especially if she really is writing a volume 2.

I just finished it the book. Whew, an AUTHOR :clap3:

And it’s clear she will be back to music in some form in the distant future. She just won’t be playing the game, as she shalln’t!

Not even gonna lie, I was super relieved when I read this :skull: The way she framed it as not focusing on music at the moment definitely gives hope that she’ll record music and perform in the future. I know it sounds selfish but I don’t think I could live in a world without new Britney music.

She LOVESSSS Blackout and Glory, and you can tell she really loves music and making it. She’ll come back to that eventually I know it.

I think she saw it being #1 on shopping outlets and maybe equated it to it

My Waterstones was CHAOS yesterday. People running in the store at 9am, fighting over the books. Screaming at the staff. The book is 50% off so it was full of crazed resellers bundling their bags full of the book

Stop with this conspiracy already. Did this uses or Twitter detective even read the book?

Why on EARTH would Lou be behind the book when she’s basically trashed from the moment her name is mentioned and is detailed as the one behind the whole conservatorship along side Jamie? :bibliahh:

idk to me it wasn't a shade but it's britney so you can't be sure, but I am glad she knows how horrible are her songs with Will I Am except Scream and Shout.

Yeah true, what I meant was Scream and shout is clearly her best work with him but WB is also quite a smash.
